Usage Notes: Week 2

By Mike Krueger | Updated: 9/13/25

Each week, I’ll look at snaps, usage, touches, target shares and pull out the highlights you need to know from each game.

- All games will be available Monday evening each week.

Green Bay

Offensive Snaps: 68

RB Josh Jacobs: 53 snaps (77.9%), 76.7% rush share, 0.0% tgt share
RB Chris Brooks: 13 snaps (19.1%), 0.0% rush share, 14.8% tgt share
RB Emanuel Wilson: 5 snaps (7.4%), 0.0% rush share, 0.0% tgt share

WR Romeo Doubs: 50 snaps (73.5%), 18.5% tgt share
WR Matthew Golden: 40 snaps (58.8%), 7.4% tgt share
WR Dontayvion Wicks: 37 snaps (54.4%), 22.2% tgt share
WR Malik Heath: 22 snaps (32.4%), 3.7% tgt share
WR Savion Williams: 11 snaps (16.2%), 0.0% tgt share
WR Jayden Reed: 5 snaps (7.4%), 0.0% tgt share

TE Tucker Kraft: 62 snaps (91.2%), 25.9% tgt share
TE Luke Musgrave: 21 snaps (30.9%), 7.4% tgt share
TE John FitzPatrick: 21 snaps (30.9%), 0.0% tgt share

Need to know: Jayden Reed (broken collarbone) injured early in the first quarter. Packers large WR rotation is reduced by one. Doubs, Golden and Wicks should be top 3 moving forward but Heath and Williams be in the mix. Brooks currently ahead of Wilson for backup RB duties.

Washington

Offensive Snaps: 69

RB Austin Ekeler: 36 snaps (52.2%), 42.1% rush share, 10.0% tgt share
RB Croskey-Merritt: 15 snaps (21.7%), 21.1% rush share, 2.5% tgt share
RB Jeremy McNichols: 16 snaps (23.2%), 0.0% rush share, 0.0% tgt share

WR Terry McLaurin: 63 snaps (91.3%), 22.5% tgt share
WR Deebo Samuel: 61 snaps (88.4%), 20.0% tgt share
WR Jaylin Lane: 36 snaps (52.2%), 10.0% tgt share
WR Noah Brown: 27 snaps (39.1%), 10.0% tgt share
WR Luke McCaffrey: 16 snaps (23.2%), 2.5% tgt share

TE Zach Ertz: 62 snaps (89.9%), 20.0% tgt share
TE John Bates: 9 snaps (13.0%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Ben Sinnott: 3 snaps (4.3%), 2.5% tgt share

Need to know: Austin Ekeler out for the season with torn Achilles. Chris Rodriguez Jr. (inactive first two weeks) should be back in the mix assuming WAS doesn’t add another RB. JCM is likely to active on early downs without much of pass-game role. His value will be best when the Commanders are in a positive game script. Rookie Jaylin Lane worked as the No.3 receiver over Noah Brown. Strong usage for Ertz (90% snap share) in a negative game script.
