Need to know: A subpar showing
from the Cardinals offense (55 plays) yet they still won the game.
Benson worked in the 2-minute drill at the end of the first half.
His role has increased from last season but offense needs to be
more efficient for him to have true stand-alone value. Frustrating
game for MHJ who saw just 5 targets.
TE Kyle Pitts:
53 snaps (80.3%), 23.8% tgt share
TE Charlie Woerner: 56 snaps (84.8%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Atlanta-D seems much
improved this year. First game for Mooney (not limited) but Penix
had just 21 pass attempts. 38 combined carries for Bijan (22-143-0,
3-25-0) and Allgeier (16-76-1, 1-4-0).
TE Mark Andrews: 45 snaps (80.4%), 10.7% tgt share
TE Charlie Kolar: 33 snaps (58.9%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Henry had a dud (11-20-0)
against CLE back in Week 3 of 2023. Keaton Mitchell was Inactive
again. All four BAL receiving TDs went to backup wideouts (Hopkins,
Walker (x2) and Wallace). Mark Andews has 7 receiving yards through
two games.
TE Dawson Knox: 41 snaps (54.7%), 20.0% tgt share
TE Dalton Kincaid: 36 snaps (48.0%), 24.0% tgt share
TE Jackson Hawes: 35 snaps (46.7%), 4.0% tgt share
Need to know: Josh Allen suffered
a broken nose. James Cook is picking up where he left off last
season. He leads all fantasy RBs through two games (half-PPR)
despite playing just 52% of the snaps. Backup players got some
extra run in this game as the Buffalo beat the Jets 30-10.
Need to know: Panthers ran 85 plays.
Despite being a starter, Legette looks terrible out there. He
had 8 targets and caught 1 pass for -2 yards! Wouldn’t be surprised
if his role is decreased soon.
TE Cole Kmet: 61 snaps (89.7%), 6.1% tgt share
TE Colston Loveland: 36 snaps (52.9%), 3.0% tgt share
Need to know: Monangai (8 touches)
working as the No.2 RB. Is Odunze the No.1 wide receiver on this
team? Rookie TE Loveland still playing behind Kmet – a repeat
from Week 1.
TE Mike Gesicki: 36 snaps (52.2%), 9.3% tgt share
TE Drew Sample: 28 snaps (40.6%), 4.7% tgt share
TE Noah Fant: 17 snaps (24.6%), 9.3% tgt share
Need to know: Burrow injured in
his toe in the 2nd quarter. Likely done until mid-December. Jake
Browning in at QB. Chase Brown hasn’t lit up the box score, but
his role remains strong. Got every RB touch in this game.
Need to know: Amazing Cleveland
Judkins this much work after he’s barely been on the practice
field. He’ll be the lead back in short order. Fannin is basically
working as a No.3 receiver. As long as he keeps that role, he’ll
be in the low-end TE1 conversation every week.
Need to know: Overtime game and
a scoring bonanza! Dallas ran 89 plays (!) - league average this
week was 65. 24 touches for Javonte Williams who continues to
work as the lead back. The 12 tgts for Ferguson led all tight
ends this week. KaVontae Turpin got banged up which decreased
his snap share.
TE Adam Trautman: 36 snaps (62.1%), 10.0% tgt share
TE Evan Engram: 25 snaps (43.1%), 6.7% tgt share
TE Lucas Krull: 9 snaps (15.5%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Still a three-man
RB rotation for the Broncos. Badie playing on third downs. Quiet
day for Sutton (1-6-0, 4 tgts) as Troy Franklin led the team with
9 tgts. WR usage isn’t sticky from week-to-week with Sean Payton
in charge.
Need to know: Jayden Reed (broken
collarbone) injured early in the first quarter. Packers large
WR rotation is reduced by one. Doubs, Golden and Wicks should
be top 3 moving forward but Heath and Williams be in the mix.
Brooks currently ahead of Wilson for backup RB duties.
Need to know: Texans have struggled
on offense through two games. – just 49 plays this week.
9 targets for Nico resulted in 3 receptions. Dameon Pierce was
Inactive which allowed Marks to work as the No.2 RB. Marks’
value is on the rise but he needs the offense to be more efficient
in order to have a big fantasy impact.
TE Tyler Warren: 66 snaps (93.0%), 21.2% tgt share
TE Mo Alie-Cox: 25 snaps (35.2%), 3.0% tgt share
TE Andrew
Ogletree: 12 snaps (16.9%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Back-to-back good
showing for the Colts’ offense. Taylor (27 touches) is a beast
at RB – Tied for 1st (Achane) among all RBs with 93% snap share
this week. Usage continues to be strong for TE Warren (93% snap
share). Downs (6-51-0) led the team with 8 targets.
Need to know: First game sans Tank
Bigsby saw Etienne remain in the lead back role with Tuten working
as the backup – what we expected. Would be nice if Jags just used
two RBs but they insist on using LeQuint Allen Jr. BTJ has struggled
making a connection with Lawrence through two games – 19 tgts,
just 5 receptions. Hunter’s offensive snap percentage was roughly
the same as Week 1 but tgt share (14.6%) was down. His defensive
snaps rose from 6 in Week 1 to 39 in Week 2.
TE Travis Kelce: 46 snaps (76.7%), 20.7% tgt share
TE Noah Gray: 39 snaps (65.0%), 17.2% tgt share
Need to know: Chiefs offense is
struggling. They can’t run the ball… outside of Mahomes (66-1
on the ground). Mahomes missed Thornton (2-59-1) badly on a deep
ball, connected on another. Kelce (4-61-0) led the team with 6
targets.
TE Tyler Conklin: 29 snaps (50.0%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Will Dissly: 23 snaps (39.7%), 3.7% tgt share
Need to know: More work for Najee
(8-28-0, 2-20-0) this week as he barely played in Week 1. Both
backs had just 8 carries while Herbert led the team with 9 carries.
I’ve mentioned this before, but Herbert is going to provide
value with his legs this season, which increases his fantasy value.
Roughly the same roles for the top 3 wideouts. QJ (7 tgts) isn’t
going away. TEs in this offense can be ignored.
TE Tyler Higbee: 46 snaps (75.4%), 12.5% tgt share
TE Davis Allen: 25 snaps (41.0%), 3.1% tgt share
Need to know: It was reported that
Sean McVay may try and get Adams more involved this week and that
happened (40.6% tgt share). Offense still concentrated around
Kyren, Puka and Adams.
TE Brock Bowers: 54 snaps (77.1%), 18.2% tgt share
TE Michael Mayer: 24 snaps (34.3%), 4.5% tgt share
TE Ian Thomas: 7 snaps (10.0%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Raheem Mostert has
been Inactive the first two weeks. Ugly game for Geno Smith (180-0-3)
and the Raiders passing attack. Bowers (5-38-0) came into the
game questionable with a knee injury – finished 2nd in targets
(8). Myers led the team with 12 targets.
TE Julian Hill: 29 snaps (50.9%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Tanner Conner: 26 snaps (45.6%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: A nice bounce back
for the Dolphins offense after their Week 1 disaster. It was the
Achane show at RB – 19 touches including 10 targets. Zero targets
for the Miami tight ends.
TE T.J. Hockenson: 34 snaps (72.3%), 14.3% tgt share
TE Josh Oliver: 14 snaps (29.8%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Another rough showing
for the Vikings offense. QB McCarthy played the entire game but
is dealing with a sprained ankle and is not expected to play next
week. Carson Wentz is next up. Aaron Jones (5-23-0) suffered a
hamstring injury and will miss some time. More work expected for
Mason.
TE Hunter Henry: 51 snaps (85.0%), 13.0% tgt share
TE Austin Hooper: 37 snaps (61.7%), 13.0% tgt share
Need to know: Role decrease this
week for Demario Douglas who played just 25% of the snaps. Just
1 tgt for Boutte despite leading the WR group in snaps. Henderson
has some bad pass protection reps in this game. Not going to get
increased playing time if that keeps up.
TE Juwan Johnson: 68 snaps (95.8%), 26.5% tgt share
TE Jack Stoll: 18 snaps (25.4%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: TE Juwan Johson played
96% of the snaps (led all TEs this week) and was second on the
team in targets (9) behind only Olave (10). Workhorse role for
Kamara – 27 touches.
Need to know: Overtime game and
a scoring bonanza! Russ: 450-3-1, 3-23-0. Skattebo out-snapped
Tracy 35 to 28. We’ll see if this is sticky, but I’d lean yes.
23 combined targets for Nabers (13) and Wan’Dale (10). Both easily
over 100 yds receiving.
Need to know: Fields left the game
in the 4th quarter with a concussion. Ugly offensive game from
the Jets – just 47 plays and 83 total passing yards. WR Josh Reynolds
was Inactive.
Need to know: TE Dallas Goedert
and RB Will Shipley were Inactive. Just 101 passing yds for Hurts.
22-88-1, 2-6-0 line for Barkley. A.J. Brown (5-27-0) led the team
with 8 targets. Eagles ran the tush-push 7 times in this game.
TE AJ Barner: 58 snaps (89.2%), 10.0% tgt share
TE Robbie Ouzts: 27 snaps (41.5%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Elijah Arroyo: 26 snaps (40.0%), 10.0% tgt share
TE Eric Saubert: 24 snaps (36.9%), 0.0% tgt share
Need to know: Walker (13-105-1,
1-13-0) out-performed Charbonnet (15-10-0) in the box score but
played fewer snaps was out-touched 15 to 14. Steelers-D may be
a group to pick on - they allowed a 7-90-0 line to Cooper Kupp.
Seattle using four tight ends isn’t great. A situation to avoid.
TE Jake Tonges: 56 snaps (78.9%), 13.2% tgt share
TE Luke Farrell: 41 snaps (57.7%), 7.9% tgt share
Need to know: George Kittle is
out with a hamstring injury. 49ers split TE reps between Tonges
and Farrell. Neither are fantasy options. Bourne immediately in
the No.3 WR spot despite being with the team for only a week.
TE Cade Otton: 73 snaps (91.2%), 11.1% tgt share
TE Payne Durham: 17 snaps (21.2%), 2.8% tgt share
Need to know: Bucs struggled to
move the ball at times against a tough Houston-D. RBs did the
most damage – Bucky (23 touches) and White (12 touches)
combined for 187 total yards and 1 TD. Evans (5-56-0) led the
wideouts with 11 targets. WR roles remained consistent with Week
1.
Need to know: Two rough matchups
to being the season for Tennessee (DEN in Wk1, LAR in Wk2). Pollard’s
workhorse role continues – 20 of 22 RB carries. Ayomanor
locked in as the No.2 wideout.
TE Zach Ertz: 62 snaps (89.9%), 20.0% tgt share
TE John Bates: 9 snaps (13.0%), 0.0% tgt share
TE Ben Sinnott: 3 snaps (4.3%), 2.5% tgt share
Need to know: Austin Ekeler out
for the season with torn Achilles. Chris Rodriguez Jr. (inactive
first two weeks) should be back in the mix assuming WAS doesn’t
add another RB. JCM is likely to active on early downs without
much of pass-game role. His value will be best when the Commanders
are in a positive game script. Rookie Jaylin Lane worked as the
No.3 receiver over Noah Brown. Strong usage for Ertz (90% snap
share) in a negative game script.
