Malik Nabers' 2025 season is one of the biggest "what-ifs" in recent memory. The second-year receiver appeared set to pay off his high ADP through the first month of the season, including a gigantic 37.7-point fantasy explosion in Week 2. He compiled 18 catches, 271 yards, and two touchdowns in just four games. Then disaster struck. A devastating torn ACL ended what was beginning to look like a legendary sophomore fantasy season. Up to that point, Nabers was the unquestioned focal point of the Giants' passing attack, commanding targets at an elite rate and producing with the opportunities he was given.
The outlook for 2026 is murky. Rehab from a torn ACL is a long process that is often full of setbacks, and early reports indicate Nabers is expected to miss the start of the season. Even when he does return, players often take several weeks -- if not a full year -- to regain their pre-injury explosiveness and confidence in their own body. The Giants have already given us hints that they question Nabers' health as they added multiple veterans like Darnell Mooney, Odell Beckham Jr., and JuJu Smith-Schuster. While those players don't come anywhere near replacing Nabers, they will likely be enough to keep the team from rushing their franchise wideout back before he's absolutely ready.
Nabers' health is one of the biggest stories for fantasy managers to keep an eye on as we head closer to drafts. At the moment, we should play things cautiously, assuming that he will be back sometime in the first quarter of the season, but not banking on a Week 1 return to elite status. Managers who do take a shot on Nabers will need to be prepared with early-season backup options, just as the Giants themselves have done.

Malik Nabers not expected to start camp on PUP list Recovering from 2025 knee injury By: Mike Krueger | Thu Jul 23, 7:12 pm

| | New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is not expected to begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list, a source told ESPN. It's a step in the right direction following a serious knee injury last year. Veterans are scheduled to report Tuesday. Coach John Harbaugh said recently on "The Domonique Foxworth Show" that there was "optimism" with Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo. Both suffered season-ending injuries last year. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: This is a good sign for Nabers getting back on the field early in camp but it still remains to be seen if he'll be ready for Week 1. Nabers had a second surgery this off-season for scar tissue removal and the Giants want to ease him back into practice. Nabers is currently hovering around the WR14 range in PPR leagues.

| Giants bring back WR Odell Beckham Jr. WR missed all of 2025 By: Mike Krueger | Mon Jun 1, 12:25 pm

| | It's a reunion: The Giants are signing WR Odell Beckham Jr., per source. The second workout is a charm.
Twelve years after he was drafted, OBJ returns to New York. He desperately wanted a return. (Jordan Raanan on X)
FFToday's Take: Beckham is 33 years old and hasn't played since the 2024 season. New head coach John Harbaugh and Beckham are familiar going back to their days in Baltimore (2023). With Malik Nabers (knee) being iffy for Week 1, this move helps provide depth the Giants wide receiver which also consists of Darius Slayton, Calvin Austin and Darnell Mooney. Still, it's hard to see Beckham offering much fantasy value this season.
