Charbonnet (knee) tore his ACL during the team's Divisional Round dismantling of the 49ers, and he underwent surgery in February. He's all but certain to open the 2026 season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list and may not return to action until October or November. Even then, it's likely the team will ease the UCLA product back into the mix with a long-term goal of splitting the backfield duties between him and Price -- Emanuel Wilson would likely slide into the No. 3 role when everyone is healthy and available.
With no clear return date, it's tough to value Charbonnet. He did little as a rookie in 2023 but grew into his 1a/1b split with Kenneth Walker over the last two seasons. In 2024, he racked up 909 yards and 9 TDs. Last year, Charbonnet set career highs with 730 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns, though his involvement in the passing game cratered with just 20 receptions and 144 receiving yards. Whenever he does return, Charbonnet should be motivated to prove he's healthy and ready to contribute as he's set to become a free agent after the season. If you can snap up Charbonnet as your RB4 or RB5 and stash him in an IR slot it could pay dividends in the later months.

FFToday's Take: We knew this was coming for Charbonnet who injured his knee in mid-January. He's expected to miss camp and likely at least the first four regular season games and potentially return late in the season. In the meantime rookie Jadarian Price, George Holani and Emanuel Wilson are expected to get the work at running back with Price being biggest fantasy asset of the bunch.

He will share time with Holani and Emanuel Wilson as Seattle waits for Zach Charbonnet to return. One question with Price is his ability to contribute in the passing game after he finished his college career with only 15 receptions. He looked plenty capable as a pass catcher during the spring. FFToday's Take: Interesting notes on Price from long-time Seahawks beat reporter Brady Henderson. The Seahawks running back room is shaping up to be a headache for fantasy owners as we look forward to training camp. We could see a true committee approach (Price, George Holani, Wilson) to start the season while Charbonnet rehabs from an Achilles injury. Hopefully we'll get more clarity during training camp.
