Considered a capable receiver but nowhere near a superstar entering last season, Kupp immediately clicked with Stafford en route to a monster campaign, comfortably leading the NFL in receptions (145), targets (191), yards (1,947), and touchdowns (16). He was also the only player to average more than 100 receiving yards per game. Kupp's true dominance emerged on the biggest stage where he caught the game-winning TD in the Super Bowl at a point where everyone on the Bengals knew the ball was going to him... and they still couldn't stop it.
About the only negatives you can lay on Kupp right now relate to his age and history. Already 29, the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year has only one other 1,000-yard season on his resume, and last year was just the second time he's appeared in every game. Those feel like trivial concerns, though, given how dominant he was in his first season working with Stafford. In fact, a year together might make that duo even more formidable (if possible).
If you're completely stuck on longevity, you could make a case for Davante Adams as the top receiver off the board, though going from Rodgers to Derek Carr creates questions of its own. After that, you're probably looking at guys like Justin Jefferson or Jamarr Chase, neither of whom has done more than Kupp at this point. Don't overthink it, Kupp should be the No. 1 receiver drafted in 2022.

Sean McVay intends to stick with Rams as head coach Under contract through 2026 By: Mike Krueger | Fri Jan 13, 3:28 pm

| | #Rams coach Sean McVay intends to return as the team’s coach after taking a few days to consider his future, per me and
@MikeGarafolo. He is sorting through potential staff changes for 2023. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: After a brief period to considering ditching the Rams, it sounds like McVay will be back in LA and try to revive a team that had a brutal 2022 season and seems to be in transition. Offensive coordinator Liam Coen has left for Kentucky. QB Matthew Stafford (back) and Cooper Kupp will be closely watched this off-season as they recover from injury.

| Cooper Kupp not expected to play again in 2022 WR out since Week 10 recovering from ankle surgery By: Doug Orth | Tue Dec 13, 11:55 pm

| | Sean McVay said he'd be "hard-pressed" to see a scenario where WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) plays again this season. (TheRams.com - Stu Jackson)
FFToday's Take: It would make absolutely no sense for the Rams to bring back Kupp for a game or two at the end of a lost season, especially with Matthew Stafford (neck) also sidelined. The Rams have been relying more heavily on Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek and Tutu Atwell in recent weeks, which is something we should expect to continue with Baker Mayfield under center.

| Allen Robinson not expected to play Rams dealing with a rash of injuries By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 27, 7:00 am

| | #Rams WR Allen Robinson, dealing with a foot injury, is not likely to play today vs. the #Chiefs, source said. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: As if things couldn't get any worse for the Rams. Already down Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford, expect Van Jefferson and Ben Skowronek to be the top targets for Bryce Perkins against the Chiefs. These two should only be considered if you are desperate at the position.

| Cooper Kupp headed to IR, ankle surgery Out a minimum of four weeks By: Mike Krueger | Tue Nov 15, 12:06 pm

| | Rams’ WR Cooper Kupp is scheduled to undergo ankle surgery Wednesday and the team is placing him on IR, per HC Sean McVay. Kupp is out a minimum of four weeks and with the way the Rams season is going, could be longer. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: The Rams sit at 3-6 heading into their Week 11 game against San Francisco. We may not see Kupp again the rest of the season which could give a lift to those fantasy owners that over-drafted Allen Robinson this Summer. Ben Skowronek and Van Jefferson should also see increased playing time.

| Cooper Kupp leaves Week 10 with ankle injury Appears to have avoided a worst-case scenario By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 13, 8:20 pm

| | Multiple sources said that after initial testing on Cooper Kupp's ankle, he appears to have avoided a worst-case scenario with the injury. Important to remember, though, that he'll go through more testing in the coming days for a clearer picture of the situation. @TheAthletic (Jourdan Rodrigue on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Kupp finished with 5 targets, 3 receptions and -1 yard against the Cardinals. Hopefully tests on Monday remain positive. We should know more about his injury on how much time he will miss by Tuesday at the latest. Allen Robinson, Van Jefferson and Ben Skowronek are next up on the depth chart.
