Jacksonville Jaguars

Calvin Ridley shipped to Jacksonville
Suspended Falcons WR dealt for two picks
By: Doug Orth | Nov 1 2022, 5:25 pm

The Jags have acquired suspended WR Calvin Ridley from the Atlanta Falcons, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday, per sources informed of the situation. The Falcons' trade return is two future draft picks that can range from a maximum compensation of a 2023 fifth-rounder and a 2024 second-round pick, which will be conditional upon Ridley's reinstatement. Should Ridley be reinstated past a certain date, the 2023 fifth-round pick will turn into a sixth-rounder, per Rapoport. If Ridley makes the team in 2024, the second pick will be worth at least a fourth-rounder. A playing-time milestone converts the pick into a third-rounder and the Jaguars will give up a 2024 second-round pick if the team strikes a long-term deal with Ridley. (Around the NFL - Kevin Patra)

FFToday's Take: In theory, this is great news for the fantasy values of Ridley, Kyle Pitts and Drake London. From Jacksonville's perspective, Ridley should give Trevor Lawrence a proven alpha receiver. He should be in far better fantasy situation with Lawrence than with whatever quarterback is running the show in Atlanta in 2023. As for the Falcons, Ridley's departure likely means that Pitts and London won't have another supremely talented pass-catcher stealing targets from them moving forward.

Buffalo Bills

Bills and Colts swap backup running backs
Zack Moss to the Colts, Nyheim Hines to the Bills
By: Mike Krueger | Nov 1 2022, 3:00 pm

Trade terms, per source: 🏈RB Zack Moss and a conditional 6th round pick in 2023 to the Colts. 🏈Nyheim Hines to the Bills. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: James Cook has been operating as the backup behind Devin Singletary the last couple of weeks. That role is now in jeopardy with the Nines acquisition. Moss will battle Deon Jackson for a backup role behind Jonathan Taylor. Hines has been fairly quiet this season with only 25 catches for 188 yards. This isn't a dramatic move for his fantasy value but the overall offensive environment is an improvement.

Chicgao Bears

Steelers sending Chase Claypool to the Bears
Steelers receive a 2023 second-round pick
By: Mike Krueger | Nov 1 2022, 12:34 pm

The #Bears are trading a 2023 second-round pick to the #Steelers for WR Chase Claypool, as @FieldYates said. A big move for Chicago to help Justin Fields. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Bears have one of the thinnest wide receiver rooms in the league. That will get a boost with Claypool in the mix who will be in the starting lineup as soon as he's up to speed with the offense. The Bears' low passing volume is a concern, but Claypool was stuck behind Diontae Johnson and George Pickens in Pittsburgh. This move should give Pickens more opportunities the rest of the season.

Detroit Lions

Lions trade T.J. Hockenson to Vikings
Lions get a 2023 second-round pick and 2024 third-round pick
By: Mike Krueger | Nov 1 2022, 11:24 am

Trade! The #Lions are sending TE T.J. Hockenson to the #Vikings, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Minnesota sends a 2023 second-round pick and 2024 third-round pick to Detroit for Hockenson, a 2023 fourth-round pick and a 2024 conditional fourth-round pick. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: A trade within the division is somewhat surprising. The Vikings are going to be without Irv Smith for a couple months due to an ankle injury suffered in Week 8 so a need a tight end was there. This is basically a lateral move for Hockenson's fantasy value. He'll be competing with Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen for targets.

Baltimore Ravens

Multi-game absence likely for Rashod Bateman
Week 8 foot injury more serious than expected
By: Doug Orth | Oct 31 2022, 6:45 pm

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said WR Rashod Bateman will be out for a few weeks with a foot injury. It was more serious than they originally believed. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)

FFToday's Take: Bateman started off the season on fire, but it has been mostly downhill since. He suffered his initial foot injury in Week 4, which led to two missed games and one modest game back before last Thursday's aggravation. With Baltimore eyeing its bye in Week 10, it is possible the Ravens don't send him to IR in hopes that he only has to miss three games over the next four weeks (instead of the four games he would need to miss on IR). Stash him on your league's IR if possible, but managers in more shallow leagues may need to move on.

Los Angeles Chargers

Keenan Allen not at practice Monday
Has dealt with hamstring issue most of the season
By: Doug Orth | Oct 31 2022, 6:40 pm

Chargers WR Keenan Allen is not practicing today. (The Athletic - Daniel Popper)

FFToday's Take: It is slightly concerning that Allen did not practice Monday since the Chargers are coming off their bye, but he did not suffer any known setback from his limited involvement in Week 7. For now, fantasy managers should expect Allen back at practice Tuesday or Wednesday but also plan to be without him as they have for the majority of the season. With Mike Williams (knee) sidelined for perhaps close to a month, Los Angeles will need to rely heavily on Allen, Gerald Everett and Austin Ekeler in the passing game.

Los Angeles Rams

Cooper Kupp likely dealing with ankle sprain
Expected to be ready for Week 9 vs. Bucs
By: Doug Orth | Oct 31 2022, 6:30 pm

Sean McVay says he expects Cooper Kupp (ankle) to play Sunday against Tampa Bay. (The Athletic - Jourdan Rodrigue)

FFToday's Take: Kupp got hurt late in Week 8 with the game already well in hand. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport speculated earlier in the day that the Rams will need to see how the week goes with Kupp before any final determinations are made, but it sounds as if he will be limited somewhat in practice this week before gaining clearance for Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If he plays, he is a must-start across all leagues.

New England Patriots

Good news on DeVante Parker's knee injury
Injured on first play of the game in Week 8
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 31 2022, 10:15 am

Pretty good news for the #Patriots and WR DeVante Parker, who suffered just a knee sprain on the first play in Sunday's win, source said. If he misses time, it'll likely only be one game. Could be back after the bye. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It was a short day for Paker who was injured on New England's first drive. Jakobi Meyers led all the Patriots receivers with 12 targets finishing with a 9-60-1 line. New England has a bye in Week 10 so it's possible Parker could return in Week 11 against the Jets

Las Vegas Raiders

Darren Waller out for Week 8
Hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 30 2022, 9:57 am

Raiders’ TE Darren Waller will be inactive today vs. the Saints due to his hamstring injury, per source. He’s close to being able to return, but not there quite yet. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Waller missed Week 7 as well with his hamstring injury. In his place, Foster Moreau will get the start and be a streaming option at a weak tight end position.

Seattle Seahawks

DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett expected to play
Both Seattle receivers are risky plays in Week 8
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 30 2022, 1:20 am

When Seahawks’ WR DK Metcalf was carted off last Sunday with a patella tendon injury, some suspected he might be sidelined for weeks. But Metcalf, listed as questionable for Sunday, will return from his injury sooner than expected and play vs. the Giants, per source. Seahawks’ WR Tyler Lockett, listed as questionable for Sunday due to hamstring and rib injuries, is expected to play vs. Giants, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: For what it's worth, Ian Rapoport labeled Lockett as a gametime decision. In any case, it's quite remarkable that Metcalf is going to suit after getting in a limited session on Friday. There's no indication right now if he will be limited or not. Pay attention to reports leading up to kickoff. Both Seattle receivers are risky plays in Week 8.

Las Vegas Raiders

Davante Adams expected to play
Dealing with illness all week
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 30 2022, 1:13 am

#Raiders WR Davante Adams, listed as questionable after being a flu-like illness all week, is expected to play, source said. He felt better towards the end of the week. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Adams missed practice Wednesday and Thursday but did practice on Friday and is expected to play against the Saints.

Arizona Cardinals

James Conner will miss Week 8
Darrel Williams is a game-day decision
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 28 2022, 5:00 pm

Kingsbury said RB James Conner will not play Sunday in Minnesota. RB Darrel Williams is a game-day decision. (Darren Urban on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It looks like Eno Benjamin will get most of the work in the backfield for the Cardinals again. Benjamin has had touch counts of 16 and 18 the last two weeks with Conner out. We should expect a similar amount or work this week against the Vikings who are middle of the pack against fantasy running backs this season.

San Francisco

Deebo Samuel out for Week 9, hamstring injury
Missed practice all week
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 28 2022, 4:37 pm

49ers ruled out WR Deebo Samuel for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams due to his hamstring injury. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Deebo missed practice this week and will miss Week 9. That likely means more work for Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk and tight end George Kittle. San Francisco has a bye in Week 9 which will give Deebo two weeks to rest.

Seattle Seahawks

DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett gameday decisions
Seattle wide receivers listed as questionable
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 28 2022, 4:34 pm

Seahawks list DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett as limited today. Carroll said he wouldn’t have thought Metcalf would be able to practice this week. "He ran around today and did some stuff and looked pretty good." Called it a positive step but said Metcalf and Lockett will be gameday decisions. (Brady Henderson on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It still seems like a longshot for Metcalf to play but we should get further information this weekend. Same with Lockett, who has been battling a hamstring injury the last two weeks but also added a rib injury to his status on Friday.

Cincinnati Bengals

Ja’Marr Chase out 4-6 weeks with hip injury
Could be placed on IR
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 27 2022, 4:36 pm

Bengals’ WR Ja’Marr Chase is dealing with a hip injury that is expected to sideline him 4-6 weeks and makes him a prime candidate for injured reserve, per sources. Chase visited with a hip specialist Wednesday and is seeking more answers about his injury. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Tough blow for Chase, the Bengals and Chase fantasy owners who will without fantasy's No.4 wide receiver for a big chunk of the season. This should result in a bump for Tyler Boyd who should see a few more targets come his way on a weekly basis. The Bengals have a bye in Week 10.

Green Bay Packers

Allen Lazard not expected to play
Shoulder injury
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 27 2022, 4:09 pm

#Packers WR Allen Lazard says he heard a “snap, crackle, pop” in his shoulder when he was tackled in the third quarter Sunday. He is not concerned long term, but Lazard does not expect to play in Buffalo. “Probably not,” he says. (Ryan Wood on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Lazard missed practice Thursday and will likely be on the Inactive list in Week 8 leaving Green Bay with a bunch of undesirable options at wide receiver. Both Sammy Watkins (hamstring) and Christian Watson (hamstring) have been limited this week. Romeo Doubs is likely to play the majority of snaps out of necessity.

Kansas City Chiefs

Giants trade Kadarius Toney to Chiefs
Giants receive third-round compensatory pick, sixth-round pick
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 27 2022, 12:33 pm

The #Giants are trading WR Kadarius Toney to the #Chiefs for a third-round compensatory pick and 2023 sixth-round pick, as @Schultz_Report said. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Toney's been a bit of conundrum in his early career, showing flashes of being a difference maker on the field mixed with injury and off-field issues. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman will be a free agents at the end of the season. It sounds like Toney had worn out his welcome in New York and a fresh start was needed for both sides.

Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman hopeful to play TNF
Bateman practiced Wednesday
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 27 2022, 12:05 pm

As for the #Ravens, sources say TE Mark Andrews and WR Rashod Bateman are both hopeful they’ll be able to play tonight. Both listed as questionable. We’ll get you final word later on @NFLGameDay Kickoff live from Tampa. (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Bateman participated in practice on Wednesday while Andrews did not. For what it's worth, Andrews has been durable throughout his career and played last week with a knee injury. He did not catch a pass while playing on 88% of the snaps as the Ravens went run-heavy. Andrews and Bateman owners will need to pay attention to the Inactive list tonight.

Dallas Cowboys

Knee injury could cause Ezekiel Elliott to miss Week 8
Dallas has a bye in Week 9
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 26 2022, 4:37 pm

Ezekiel Elliott was not ready to rule himself out of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, but the Dallas Cowboys running back's availability is in question after he missed Wednesday's practice with a right knee injury. A source told ESPN that Elliott is dealing with a hyperextended right knee that has caused swelling and bruising. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Dallas has a bye in Week 9 which could play a big factor in determining Zeke's availability in Week 8. Other reports suggest Zeke in unlikely to play. It's doubtful he will practice this week and could be labeled a gametime decision. Tony Pollard would have some high-end RB2 appeal with RB1 upside if Zeke sits.

Los Angeles Chargers

Mike Williams expected to miss four weeks
High-ankle sprain
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 26 2022, 2:06 pm

#Chargers are expecting Mike Williams to miss a minimum of four weeks. (Daniel Popper on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: This is a typical timeline for a high-ankle sprain which Williams suffered in Week 7. The Chargers have a bye in Week 8 which means it's possible he could be back for the Week 12 matchup against the Arizona. Keenan Allen should be back playing a full workload in Week 9 against the Falcons.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bucs rule out Cameron Brate, Russell Gage
Julio Jones a gametime decision
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 26 2022, 12:12 pm

Bowles says he expects Akiem Hicks to be doubtful for Thursday vs. Ravens. Julio Jones will be a game-time decision. Five players ruled out: Antoine Winfield, Carlton Davis, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Luke Goedeke, Cameron Brate. It's actually six Bucs players ruled out, as Russell Gage was also ruled out (hamstring). (Greg Auman on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Bucs will be down a couple pass-catchers for their matchup against the Ravens on Thursday night football. Rookie tight end Cade Otton will be a viable streaming option. Even if he plays, Julio can't be trusted given his propensity for injury.

Jacksonville Jaguars

NY Jets acquire James Robinson
Set to replace injured Breece Hall for Gang Green
By: Doug Orth | Oct 24 2022, 11:30 pm

Sources: The Jets are making a big trade, acquiring Jaguars RB James Robinson to help replaced injured RB Breece Hall. Draft pick compensation is going back to the Jags. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)

FFToday's Take: The draft pick compensation is reportedly a conditional sixth-round pick that could turn into a fifth-rounder. Robinson's departure makes it abundantly clear that Travis Etienne is the only show in time for now in Jacksonville. Meanwhile, Robinson's arrival in New York figures to offset the loss of Breece Hall (ACL), although Robinson lacks the explosiveness of the rookie. Robinson should eventually see more volume than new backfield partner Michael Carter but will likely top out as a low-end RB2.

San Francisco

Deebo Samuel day-to-day
Suffered hamstring injury in Week 7
By: Doug Orth | Oct 24 2022, 6:45 pm

Deebo Samuel day-to-day with a hamstring injury. (The Athletic - David Lombardi)

FFToday's Take: The 49ers are eyeing a Week 9 bye with a winnable game against the Rams next up on the schedule, so the team could go the safe route here if they want. In such a case, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle would be in line to see sizable bumps in their target shares. Christian McCaffrey could also absorb the bulk of Samuel's likely workload as well with another week to process the playbook. If Samuel is cleared to play, however, he is well worth a start in fantasy and should be considered a strong WR2 option.

Los Angeles Chargers

Mike Williams likely to miss multiple games
High-ankle sprain
By: Doug Orth | Oct 24 2022, 6:40 pm

Mike Williams has a sprained ankle and will miss "weeks not days," Brandon Staley said. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)

FFToday's Take: Williams' fantasy managers catch a bit of a break with the timing of this injury - the Chargers go on their bye in Week 8 - but it would be overly optimistic for anyone to believe he will be ready to perform at his usual level by Week 9. High-ankle sprains tend to affect players that don't give them time to fully heal for the rest of the season. Josh Palmer likely goes right back to WR3 consideration even with Keenan Allen (hamstring) healthy, while Gerald Everett will likely remain a low-end TE1 option.

Indianapolis Colts

Matt Ryan benched, Sam Ehlinger to start
Shoulder injury for Ryan
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 24 2022, 2:00 pm

Frank Reich confirms the move is being made with the idea Sam Ehlinger will be the starter the rest of the season, and the move would have been made regardless of Matt Ryan's shoulder injury. #Colts (George Bremer on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Word is, this move was a group effort between the owner, GM and head coach. Nick Foles is also on the roster and will be the backup in Week 8 against Washington. Ehlinger is a mobile quarterback so he's not the worst option to take a flier on if you're needy at the QB position.

Seattle Seahawks

DK Metcalf won't need surgery on knee
No timetable for his return
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 24 2022, 12:39 pm

Pete Carroll tells @TheMikeSalk and @BrockHuard that DK Metcalf won't need surgery. He got "a great report" this morning that showed "he hurt his patellar some." Said Metcalf is determined to practice Wednesday, but Carroll sounded skeptical of that. Overall, he sounded relieved. (Brady Henderson on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Carroll is one of the least trustworthy coaches when it comes to player injuries. It sounds like Metcalf avoid a serious injury which is good news but we certainly don't have a timetable for his return. The Seahawks have a bye in Week 11.

New York Jets

ACL injury likely for Breece Hall
Jets running back suffers knee injury in Week 7
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 23 2022, 7:41 pm

Jets’ HC Robert Saleh told reporters that the team thinks RB Breece Hall suffered an ACL injury. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Brutal. Hall had taken over the lead running back role in Week 4 but will know likely miss the rest of his rookie season. Michael Carter should now assume a bigger role in the running game. Ty Johnson has been operating as the third running back, but we can assume the Jets will bring in another veteran or someone off the practice squad.

Cleveland Browns

David Njoku suffers sprained ankle in Week 7
"Isn't serious" according to source
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 23 2022, 7:02 pm

Browns’ TE David Njoku, who was in a walking boot and on crutches after today’s game in Baltimore, suffered a sprained ankle that, in the words of one source, “isn’t serious.” There will be added tests to determine full extent of injury but “he will be OK.” (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Njoku had a 7-71-0 line on 7 targets before the leaving the game. He's been a reliable TE1 this season at a position with very few options. The Browns have a bye coming up in Week 9.

Kansas City Chiefs

Isiah Pacheco expected to start for Chiefs
Clyde Edwards-Helaire still involved
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 23 2022, 8:09 am

Isiah Pacheco took the first-team reps in practice this week and is expected to be the starter at running back in Sunday's game vs. the 49ers, sources say. Pacheco will replace former first-rounder Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who will still have a key role on offense. Kansas City often rotates backs, and both are expected to see significant snaps. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Chiefs have been using all three of their running backs this season making it difficult for fantasy owners to get a feel for who to start. Pacheco is arguably their best player at the position and now that he has the trust of Andy Reid in pass protection, could finally have some real fantasy value. His ceiling will be capped until he develops enough trust to see a 60% snap share.

Los Angeles Chargers

Keenan Allen a gametime decision
Hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 23 2022, 7:10 am

Chargers WR Keenan Allen, listed as Q due to a hamstring injury, wants to see how he feels Sunday before making a final decision, per source. But the Chargers know their bye is next week, and resting Allen now would give his hamstring two more weeks to heal and be ready after bye. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It sounds like Allen is going to be held out of Week 7 but we won't know for sure until Inactives come out later this afternoon. Allen owners can use DeAndre Carter as a placeholder in their lineup and make the swap if Allen does play.

Seattle Seahawks

Tyler Lockett expected to play
Missed practice all week with hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 23 2022, 7:00 am

Seahawks’ WR Tyler Lockett, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a hamstring injury, is expected to play vs. the Chargers, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Lockett played through his hamstring issue last week and the Seahawks decided to sit him out of practice all this week in hopes he could play in Sunday. Here we are. Lockett does carry some risk but he's a decent WR2 play in the highest total game of the week (50.5).

Denver Broncos

Russell Wilson out for Week 7, Brett Rypien to start
Hamstring injury for Wilson
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 22 2022, 12:32 pm

While Russell Wilson wanted to play despite a hamstring injury and did everything he could to play, the Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett will hold back the 9-time Pro Bowl QB vs. the Jets to allow him to heal and prevent a lingering injury, per sources. Brett Rypien gets the start. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Wilson and the Broncos haven't exactly been setting the world on fire with their play this season so perhaps Rypien can inject some life into this offense. This isn't a great situation for Courtland Sutton but it's not a reason to bench the Broncos best fantasy player either.

Seattle Seahawks

Tyler Lockett is a gametime decision
Missed practice all week with hamstring issue
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 21 2022, 4:48 pm

Pete Carroll says Tyler Lockett is a game time decision but says he’s got a good chance to play. (Bob Codotta on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Lockett was bothered by his hamstring issue last week and turned in a 2-17-0 line on five targets. He missed practice all week but the optimist Carroll says he has a good chance to play. We should know more on Lockett's status late Saturday night / early Sunday morning.

Detroit Lions

D'Andre Swift, WR Josh Reynolds listed as Questionable
Amon-Ra St. Brown off the Injury Report
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 21 2022, 3:48 pm

Lions' WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is off the injury report for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys, and RB D'Andre Swift and WR Josh Reynolds both are listed as questionable. Lions also ruled out WR D.J. Chark, DL Charles Harris, S Ifeatu Melifonwu, T Matt Nelson and CB Bobby Price. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Swift got in limited practices all three days this week while Reynolds only practiced on a limited basis Friday. We'll likely get better clarification on Swift this weekend.

Baltimore Ravens

J.K. Dobbins out 4-6 weeks, knee surgery
Baltimore RB has played in 4 games this season
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 21 2022, 3:15 pm

Ravens’ standout RB J.K. Dobbins is expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery next week that would sideline him 4-6 weeks, per sources. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Head coach John Harbaugh stated last week that Dobbins' knee "tightned up" on him which led to Kenyan Drake taking over the bulk of the running back duties in Week 6. Justice Hill is also expected to be active and the team still has the option to make Gus Edwards active if they choose. Drake looks like the desirable fantasy play in Week 7 against the Browns.

Indianapolis Colts

Looking good for Jonathan Taylor, Optimistic on Hines
Nyheim Hines clears concussion protocol
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 21 2022, 1:17 pm

Reich: "It's looking positive" for Jonathan Taylor to play Sunday. Unsure yet if there will be limitations. Nyheim Hines has cleared concussion protocol. "Feeling optimistic about Nyheim." #Colts (George Bremer on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Colts are likely to be at full strength in their running back room this week against the Titans. We'll see if we get any reports this weekend about restrictions on Taylor but he's trending towards being active and starting in Week 7. How much Hines and Deon Jackson play remains to be seen.

New York Jets

Elijah Moore won't play in Week 7
Jets receiver unhappy with his role
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 21 2022, 10:38 am

Not a surprise: #Jets coach Robert Saleh announces that WR Elijah Moore won't play on Sunday vs. the #Broncos. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Yet another player making waves about his role, Moore will now miss this week's game against Denver. It was reported yesterday that Moore was seeking a trade but the Jets have no interest in trading their second-year receiver. We could see more of Denzel Mims this week who is more of a direct replacement than Braxton Berrios.

Las Vegas Raiders

Darren Waller, Hunter Renfrow miss practice Thursday
Waller unlikely to play
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 20 2022, 5:00 pm

#Raiders' injury report for Thursday includes WR Hunter Renfrow (hip) who did not participate in practice. Also DNP is TE Darren Waller (hamstring). He told @JimTrotter_NFL “this weekend will probably be tough for me, but it won’t be a longtime thing.” (Anthony Galaviz on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It sounds like Waller is going to miss Week 7 against the Texans which would put Foster Moreau in play but he has been limited the last two days with a knee injury. If Renfrow misses as well, Mack Hollins would be a Flex consideration. We'll get more info on all of the Raiders' players after practice on Friday.

Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews, J.K. Dobbins miss practice Thursday
Rashod Bateman practiced for the second straight day
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 20 2022, 2:06 pm

Ravens TE Mark Andrews (knee) and RB J.K. Dobbins missed their second straight practices. Rashod Bateman practiced for the second straight day. He’s missed the last two games with a left foot injury. (Jamison Hensley on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: On the plus side, it seems like Bateman will be on the field this weekend against the Browns making him a Flex option Week 7 and possibly more depending on the status of Andrews. It seems like Kenyan Drake will be the starting running back if Dobbins isn't able to go. Drake broke out last week with a 10-119-1 line against the Giants.

Carolina Panthers

Panthers trade Christian McCaffrey to 49ers
Carolina receives multiple Day 2 draft picks in 2023
By: Mike Krueger | Oct 20 2022, 11:24 am

Sources: The #Panthers are trading star RB Christian McCaffrey to the #49ers, as SF adds a major offensive weapon. Full terms: -- The #49ers get star RB Christian McCaffrey. -- The #Panthers get a 2nd round pick in 2023, a third-rounder in 2023, and a fourth-round pick in 2023. Plus, a fifth-rounder in 2024. Massive. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: This is quite a haul for a running back but McCaffrey is arguably the best running back in the league. This is also a nice boost for his fantasy value but not as big as it might seem. McCaffrey is already RB4 in PPR scoring but his touchdown outlook is definitely going to increase on his new team. Jeff Wilson has lost a huge chunk of value and we'll see how much this impacts the running of Deebo Samuel. D'Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard are likely to share carries in Carolina in the wake of McCaffrey leaving.
