The Jets used a second round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to select Denzel Mims from Baylor University. At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Mims has a large frame and large catch radius. He ran an impressive 4.38 40-yard dash at the combine and was the No.1 rated player on the three cone drill.
A drop issue in college and reported lack of separation dropped Mims into the second round, but the opportunity with the Jets could not be better. He will likely start right away opposite of Breshad Perriman outside, with Jamison Crowder and Chris Herndon working inside.
From a fantasy perspective, he may not have a ton of value this season, as rookie wide receivers tend to get off to a slow start and the COVID-19 shortened offseason will not make in any easier to build rapport with Darnold. His long-term value could be high, especially if the journeyman WR Perriman does not impress on his one-year deal.

Jamison Crowder added to injury report Limited with calf injury By: Doug Orth | Thu Dec 10, 8:10 pm

| | Jets WR Jamison Crowder is a new addition to the injury report with a calf issue that limited him at practice today. (Dennis Waszak Jr. on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Mid-week additions to the injury report are never a good sign, and calf injuries are notoriously tricky for players who run as much as receivers do. That's particularly the case for a quick receiver like Crowder who relies on cutting and change of direction as opposed to a big frame. With Denzel Mims already ruled out, Week 14 is shaping up to be a double-digit target game for Breshad Perriman and maybe even Braxton Berrios if Crowder is limited in any way.

| Denzel Mims out for Week 14 Family matter By: Mike Krueger | Thu Dec 10, 11:07 am

| | Rookie WR Denzel Mims is OUT for Sunday, per Adam Gase. He’s healthy, but he had to tend to a family matter in Texas and had to leave the COVID-19 protocol. #Jets (Rich Cimini on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: With Mims unavailable the Jets will have Jamison Crowder and Breshad Perriman as their top two options against the Seahwaks. Seattle has played better D in general over the last few weeks but they've still given up the most fantasy points to receivers this season. Both Crowder and Perriman are low-priced DFS options in Week 14.

| Jamison Crowder misses practice Friday Jets thin at WR By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 30, 11:26 am

| | Jets WR Jamison Crowder (groin) won’t practice today. Looks like he will miss Sunday’s game vs Chiefs.
WR Breshad Perriman and S Bradley McDougald are OUT. (Manish Mehta on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: With Crowder likely to miss, the Jets could roll out Denzel Mims, Jeff Smith and Braxton Berrios out as their top three wide receivers against the Chiefs. Yikes. The Jets are 19.5 underdogs this week.

| Crowder, Perriman miss practice Wednesday Jets wide receiver woes continue By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 28, 12:07 pm

| | Not practicing today: Jamison Crowder, Ficken, Jenkins, McDougald and Breshad Perriman. Sam Darnold still limited. #Jets (Rich Cimini on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Crowder missed Week 7 with a groin injury while Perriman is in the concussion protocol. Rookie Denzel Mims got his first action of the season last week and finished with a 4-42-0 line on 7 targets.
