|Robinson has made a quick turnaround from a torn Achilles suffered last season. The Jaguars are expecting him to be ready for Week 1, and HC Doug Pederson has said he thinks Robinson can be a three-down back when healthy. That's worrisome for fantasy owners of both Robinson and Travis Etienne, but I expect Robinson to make his money in the red zone. He got the call over 80% of the time when Jacksonville was operating inside the 10-yard line.
I see Etienne getting increased target share and carries as the season goes on, while Robinson serves as the thunder in short yardage and goal line work in his future. He's a TD-reliant RB3 as long as Etienne is in the fold.
| Michael Carter listed as Doubtful|
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 2, 10:41 am
|RB Michael Carter and RT Cedric Ogbuehi are listed as DOUBTFUL for Sunday, per Saleh. S Ashtyn Davis (hamstring) has been ruled out. #Jets (Rich Cimini on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Carter left last week's game with an ankle injury and the Doubtful tag means he'll likely be on the Inactive list on Sunday. That means we'll see more of Zonovan Knight, Ty Johnson and perhaps James Robinson who was a healthy inactive last week. Knight is the probably the most intriguing of the bunch from a fantasy perspective while Johnson could operate more on third downs.
| James Robinson inactive for the Jets|
Rookie RB Zonovan Knight is active

|RB James Robinson is INACTIVE -- a healthy scratch. Rookie RB Zonovan Knight is active. #Jets (Rich Cimini on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Robinson doesn't seem to be fitting in well with the Jets as he is a healthy scratch. Michael Carter shapes up to be a fine RB2 play against the Bears.
|NY Jets acquire James Robinson|
Set to replace injured Breece Hall for Gang Green
By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 24, 11:30 pm
|Sources: The Jets are making a big trade, acquiring Jaguars RB James Robinson to help replaced injured RB Breece Hall. Draft pick compensation is going back to the Jags. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)|
FFToday's Take: The draft pick compensation is reportedly a conditional sixth-round pick that could turn into a fifth-rounder. Robinson's departure makes it abundantly clear that Travis Etienne is the only show in time for now in Jacksonville. Meanwhile, Robinson's arrival in New York figures to offset the loss of Breece Hall (ACL), although Robinson lacks the explosiveness of the rookie. Robinson should eventually see more volume than new backfield partner Michael Carter but will likely top out as a low-end RB2.
