This week, the Browns face the Cardinals who've given up the 8th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Given the state of the position, Watson will be on the high-end QB2, low-end QB1 radar.

FFToday's Take: Murray practiced in full last week after a full week of limited practices the previous week, so it is only a matter of time before he gets the nod. The major motivation for Gannon to play Tune this week could be to have Murray avoid the Browns' defense in his first game back. Once the Cardinals finish with Cleveland, they face a string of defenses (Falcons, Texans, Rams and Steelers) that a healthy Murray could beat before the Week 14 bye. Don't be surprised if Murray ends up making his season debut in Week 10.

FFToday's Take: We will see what the practice week brings, but it appears as though Stafford was extremely fortunate to avoid a more serious injury. While there is always a chance the Rams could play things safe and sit Stafford against the Packers in Week 9 with their bye coming up the following week, L.A. may not feel it has the luxury of doing that at 3-5. Either way, it appears as though fantasy managers of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua will be able to proceed as they normally would. Brett Rypien will draw the start in Week 9 if Stafford misses that contest.

FFToday's Take: It was reported yesterday that Jones' neck injury has caused weakness in his left arm and he wouldn't be ready until Week 10. But after Tyrod Taylor (ribs) got hurt in the Giants Week 8, game it sounds like Jones could be ready as soon as Week 9 against the Raiders. The stat of the fantasy quarterback situation around the league is ugly, which means Jones is likely to be an option even though he's the QB30 in fantasy points per game after eight weeks.

With starting running back Miles Sanders dealing with a shoulder injury, and Chuba Hubbard playing well in his absence in the Week 6 loss to the Miami Dolphins, Reich has some wiggle room when it comes to gamesmanship ahead of Sunday’s home matchup against the Houston Texans. “Chuba’s looked good,” Reich said. “Obviously, we love Miles. And Miles has continued to make good progress. We’ll continue to get into this week a little bit. It’s always going to be a little bit by committee. That’s typically our approach. FFToday's Take: Apparently, not even a running back in the first season of a four-year, $25.4 million contract is guaranteed to keep his role as the "featured" back for even half of a season. There is no question that Hubbard has earned himself some more work with his recent performance, but one would think the contract, the difficult early matchups and the injury would have bought Sanders some time on a winless team. Expect Sanders to get another crack at being a lead back at some point in the near future, but it appears as if he possesses little more than RB3/flex upside at this point.

Fantasy managers should consider themselves lucky if Ford only misses two weeks with an injury that can sideline some backs for a month. Although he has been productive for fantasy purposes, Kareem Hunt has not looked any better than he did last season. However, it should be expected to take on the leading role for however long Ford is sidelined while Pierre Strong Jr. assumes Hunt's old role as Ford's complement.

After consultation with our medical staff, Anthony, and those close to him, it has been determined that he will undergo surgery to repair his injured shoulder, which will end his season. Anthony is a competitor, and we know how difficult and disappointing this is for him and our team. We collected several medical opinions and we felt this was the best course of action for his long-term health. We anticipate a full recovery and there is no doubt Anthony has a promising future. Then again, the Jaguars' offense hasn't exactly played at a high level even with Lawrence healthy. Fantasy managers should be more excited about firing up the Saints DST than anything else if Lawrence sits.

McCaffrey tried to play through the injury before leaving the game for good in the fourth quarter. Oblique injuries are notoriously slow to heal, so the 49ers could exercise caution and sit him for at least a week in a game they should win. Assuming that ends up being the case, it sounds as though Shanahan still prefers Elijah Mitchell over Jordan Mason as the preferred top back if CMC is sidelined.

FFToday's Take: Chicago's bye isn't until Week 13, so the Bears and fantasy managers alike will not get any break in his recovery timeline from that. Tyson Bagent came on in relief of Fields against Minnesota and didn't do much of note (10-of-14 for 83 yards and an interception) despite scoring the team's only touchdown on a short run midway through the fourth quarter. Bagent is mostly a pocket passer that won't provide much of a rushing threat, making the Raiders and Chargers good streaming DST options if Fields cannot play over the next two weeks.

An MRI on Monday revealed that Rams running back Kyren Williams has a sprained ankle that is expected to sideline him for Sunday's game against the Steelers but is not considered a long-term injury, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Williams' backup, Ronnie Rivers, injured his knee early in the second half of Sunday's game. If he can't play against the Steelers, rookie sixth-round pick Zach Evans would likely get the start at running back.

FFToday's Take: The running back position seems to be falling like flies this season. Williams rushed for a career-high 158 yards and a touchdown in Week 6, but it appears he won't be able to suit up against the Steelers' somewhat forgiving run defense. If Rivers cannot go, it appears Evans will have his first real opportunity to prove why he warrants more work. More than likely, however, the Rams will lean more heavily on Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua against Pittsburgh.

FFToday's Take: X-rays came back negative Sunday night, but the expectation should be that Montgomery will miss at least Week 7 against the Ravens. Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) is reportedly feeling better, so fantasy managers should count on him and Craig Reynolds sharing the bulk of reps in Detroit's backfield - with the rookie serving as the 1A option. The Lions host Las Vegas on Monday night in Week 8, so hopefully Montgomery's status becomes more clear over the next 1 1/2 weeks.

Giants are “optimistic” and “hopeful” that RB Saquon Barkley will play Sunday night after missing the past three games due to a sprained ankle, but also want to make sure there are no setbacks, per sources. But they “feel good about it”, so signs point up.

FFToday's Take: It looks like we may see Barkley on the field Sunday night but given his gametime status it will be a tricky situation for fantasy owners to navigate. The Giants will be without starting QB Daniel Jones so Barkley would be a welcome addition to the offense. Matt Breida has done very little in Barkley's absence.

FFToday's Take: Higgins noted that it's really going to be an issue with pain regarding his rib injury, likely for the rest of the season. He'll be a gametime decision but seems like he's trending towards playing. He'll be a risky WR2 if he suits up against the Seahawks.
