| Jacoby Brissett could return in Week 11|
QB will likely play if he gets full practice in Wednesday
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 11, 5:15 pm
|Frank Reich on Jacoby Brissett (knee): "We're optimistic that the rest was healthy. ... If he's practicing on Wednesday and he's fully practicing, he'll be our starting quarterback." (The Athletic - Stephen Holder)|
FFToday's Take: The Colts better hope he is a full participant in practice on Wednesday then. While the absence of T.Y. Hilton obviously played a role, Brian Hoyer struggled in a big way in a favorable matchup against the Dolphins. If Hilton sits again as expected, Brissett probably needs to be viewed as a QB in Week 12 despite a favorable matchup versus the Jaguars.

Colts downgrade QB

|#MIAvsIND Injury Updates:
QB Jacoby Brissett has been downgraded to OUT.
CB Pierre Desir has been downgraded to DOUBTFUL. (Colts on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Brissett was limited in practice all week and ultimately ruled out on Saturday. Brian Hoyer will get the start against the Dolphins in a plus matchup but Marlon Mack should figure heavy in the Colts gameplan.
| Jacoby Brissett a gametime decision|

|Colts HC Frank Reich says QB Jacoby Brissett is a game-time decision to play vs. the Dolphins. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: This is obviously a tasty matchup for the Colts but if Brissett (knee) does play he'll do so at less than 100 percent and without the services of T.Y. Hilton (calf) and Parris Campbell (hand). Brian Hoyer would get the start if Brissett can't go but expect to see a lot of Marlon Mack in this game.

Has "a chance" to play in Week 10
By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 4, 5:15 pm
|Jacoby Brissett MRI on left knee was as hoped for - MCL strain. Chance to play this week vs Miami but nothing definite, per sources. (ESPN - Chris Mortensen)|
FFToday's Take: Brissett was already shaping up to be a QB2 in fantasy for however long T.Y. Hilton (calf) was hurt, and now it appears there's a decent chance both sit this week. Brian Hoyer stepped up nicely - at least for fantasy purposes - in relief against the Steelers with three touchdown passes and could be a solid streamer for desperate owners in a great matchup in Week 10 against the Dolphins.

Will backup Jacoby Brissett

FFToday's Take: Hoyer was released by the Patriots on Saturday making way for his move to the Colts. Hoyer is off the fantasy radar as a backup Jacoby Brissett.
|Andrew Luck retires from the NFL|
Colts QB tired of the injury grind
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Aug 24, 9:30 pm
|In a shocking development, quarterback Andrew Luck has informed the Indianapolis Colts that he plans to retire from the NFL, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday. Luck is mentally worn down, and now checking out, the source told Schefter. Luck already had been ruled out of the game due to an ankle injury, but was seen on the sideline, laughing and conversing with teammates. (ESPN)|
FFToday's Take: In his news conference Lucky mentioned the toll his various injuries have taken on him over the last four years. Those injuries have sapped his love for the game. The Colts will now give the keys to Jacoby Brissett for the 2019 season. Brissett posted a 3098-13-7 line while filling in for Luck in 2017.
| Andrew Luck won't practice this week|
Team wants to know his status for Week 1 next Monday
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Aug 20, 12:30 pm
|Colts coach Frank Reich today: QB Andrew Luck will not practice this week. The issue remains a matter of "full speed movement vs. pain threshold." Team, ideally, will want to know his status for Week 1 next Monday. That'll be 13 days shy of the season opener. (Zak Keefer on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Time is ticking for Luck who has barely done anything with the team this entire off-season. While they haven't ruled out Luck for Week 1, we're trending towards Jacoby Brissett being the starter against the Chargers.
