I'm
a fantasy football (& basketball...& baseball) freak who also happens
to be a diehard Packer Backer living in Portland, OR, my native
home (don't ask.) I graduated from the University of Oregon in Eugene
(DUCKS, BABY!!!) about 7 years ago after spending my freshman year
at the University of Notre Dame. Why did I leave? It certainly wasn't
on account of the football! The year I attended (1990), the Irish
fielded current NFL vets Rocket Ismail, Tom Carter, Jim Flanigan,
Aaron Taylor, Ricky Watters, Rick Mirer (sort of), & Jerome Bettis
(a fellow Philosophy 101 classmate!) I attended every game & still
follow the Irish religiously. Of course, I'm a Ducks football junkie,
first & foremost, who knows the Pac-10 inside & out. I've also been
a Packer fan since 1980 when Lynn Dickey was still lobbing howitzers
to James Lofton & John Jefferson. I imagine I was drawn to the colors
@ first (I was NINE, for chrissakes!) but the all-offense/no-defense
squads of the 1980s soon had me hooked. I've lived & died w/ every
win/loss ever since.
I'm currently a member of 3 fant. FB leagues (2 dynasty/yardage
leagues & 1 annual points league), 1 basketball league (head-to-head
3-man keeper league), & 1 baseball league (head-to-head 10-man keeper
