FFToday's Take: Freiermuth will not begin the offseason healthy, but it is encouraging that he should be able to train as he normally would during the offseason starting sometime in February. Although his touchdowns dipped from seven as a rookie to two in 2022, he caught three more passes as a sophomore and gained 235 more yards. After emerging as quite possibly Kenny Pickett's most trusted target this season, Freiermuth should be considered a top-eight option at the position heading into 2023 drafts.

Brandon Staley said Mike Williams' MRI showed no fracture or muscle injury in his back. He has a contusion, Staley said. And Staley expects Williams to return to practice at some point this week.

FFToday's Take: While this news bodes well for Williams' ability to play in the Wild-Card Round, it also begs the question of why Staley had so many of his key players playing so long into what was essentially a meaningless game on Sunday. Expect Justin Herbert to rely heavily on Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen yet again versus the Jaguars since it appears Williams won't be close to 100 percent. Josh Palmer may see a few snaps as a result.

FFToday's Take: Mostert is reportedly undergoing surgery Monday. The Dolphins will probably try to exhaust every possibility imaginable to get Mostert to play against Buffalo, but taping up a surgically repaired thumb so that he can play less than a week later and not be at a higher risk to fumble or re-injury will be a tall order. Expect the Dolphins to feature Jeff Wilson this weekend.

FFToday's Take: Hall is fortunate to have suffered his injury in late October as opposed to late December, but ACL tears still take the better part of a year to recover from fully. While a training camp return is certainly a possibility, it likely remains a best-case scenario. Either way, a slow start to the 2023 season should be expected. When Hall is ready (and most importantly, healthy), he should be considered a top-10 option at his position.

Since returning in Week 14, Dobbins leads all NFL running backs in rushing yards and yards per carry. Ravens are not expected to an announce their starting QB Sunday vs. the Bengals until pregame warmups. FFToday's Take: Dobbins isn't on the injury report so it's obvious the Ravens are willing to rest key players this week as they gear up for the playoffs. They've also yet to name a starting quarterback with Tyler Huntley dealing with shoulder and wrist and shoulder problems. Gus Edwards and Justice Hill should be the main running backs against the Bengals with Anthony Brown likely playing at QB.

He picked up a shin injury last week which allowed Clement to play 43% of the snaps. That would indicate that Clement will be the lead back in a tough matchup against the 49ers run defense. Clement checks in a low-end RB2.

Him starting has obvious effects on Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle's fantasy outlook. Both have reduced ceilings as a result of the QB change.

The Eagles need to win to guarantee themselves home-field advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs, so fantasy managers should be able to avoid the dreaded early exit from Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Miles Sanders and Dallas Goedert as well. If Hurts plays, he should be a top-five option. If he doesn't, Gardner Minshew has some QB2 appeal.

FFToday's Take: It is the right thing to do, although it remains to be seen if Tua will be cleared to play in the wild-card round should Miami qualify for the postseason. Bridgewater will likely start if he can play through the finger injury he suffered in Week 17, which is far from a given. Given how good the Jets have been against perimeter receivers this year, it may be wise to downgrade Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in the season finale.

The one problem is facing a 49ers defense that remains the most stout defense for running backs - even after a bit of an uncharacteristic performance in Week 17 versus the Raiders. If Conner plays in the season finale, consider him a RB2 with little upside.

Dortch is an interesting PPR play if you think Blough will be focused on short-area throws close to the line of scrimmage.

FFToday's Take: Team owner Jerry Jones told 105.3 the Fan the Cowboys expect Pollard will play against the Titans. However, HC Mike McCarthy noted Tuesday that third-stringer Malik Davis will get the bulk of RB2 reps this week in the event a decision is made to rest Pollard in much the same way the team did Ezekiel Elliott a few weeks ago. Pollard will be in the high-end RB2 discussion if he plays against the Titans, while Davis would be a decent flex in deeper leagues if he Pollard sits.

FFToday's Take: Depending on one's cynicism, one could say Tagovailoa has been concussed three times this year. However, the Week 3 blow to the head was considered a back issue before a Week 4 tackle gave him his first official concussion. Given the league's heightened sensitivity to concussions following the handling of Tagovailoa's issues earlier this season, it seems highly unlikely he will clear protocol in time for Week 17 versus the Patriots. Assuming that is the case, Teddy Bridgewater would likely draw the start.

Watson possesses overall WR1 upside this week and needs to be started in all leagues if he can play.

White is by no means a savior for the Jets' offense with only one rushing touchdown (and no passing scores) in his two most recent starts, but he at least offers the team more competent quarterback play than Zach Wilson. Consider him a viable streamer in Week 17 against a weak Seattle defense, although fantasy managers in their championship game should be able to do better.

FFToday's Take: Fournette must have felt better Christmas night, as he handled 29 touches in an overtime win. He appeared on the injury report in Week 14 but has been absent from it over the last two weeks. He deleted his tweet minutes after posting it, which suggests a team official reached out to him to make him aware of the trouble the Bucs could get into if they are found guilty of "hiding" the injury. Fournette's heavy usage in the passing game (68 catches in 2022) should keep him firmly in the RB2 conversation again in Week 17 against the Panthers.

Assuming Lockett returns for Week 17, he will get a Jets defense that has been excellent at limiting the production of perimeter receivers, but that should not be enough of a reason to sit him if he plays. Marquise Goodwin will start in his place in Week 16 and is a worthy flex option in deeper leagues.

FFToday's Take: Dillon cleared the protocol less than 24 hours after suffering what was feared to be a concussion. This means he'll likely be good to go against a Miami defense that has been stingy against running backs on the ground but relatively soft against them through the air. Even better, Dillon is seeing the usage and producing in a way recently that most expected when he was a fifth-round pick in fantasy drafts this summer. Dillon should be considered a usable RB2 and a strong flex option this weekend.

John Harbaugh declined to say whether Ravens QB Lamar Jackson will return this week after missing two games with a knee injury.
Harbaugh said he is going to "climb behind the barricade" of not divulging injury information because of competitive reasons. (ESPN - Jamison Hensley)
FFToday's Take: The good news here is that Baltimore plays the Falcons early Saturday, so fantasy managers should have time (and the options) to pivot if necessary. The problem is that the Ravens' offense was just getting by with him healthy and has fallen flat without him. Atlanta hasn't played against many mobile quarterbacks this season. Justin Fields was the most recent one and he gouged the Falcons for 153 yards passing, 85 yards rushing and two total TDs in Week 11. That would be a reasonable expectation for Jackson if he can play. If he cannot go, Tyler Huntley will get another start.

Eagles QB and MVP candidate Jalen Hurts is uncertain to play Saturday vs. the Cowboys due to a sprained shoulder that he suffered during Sunday's win over the Bears, per league sources. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: Fantasy managers likely rode Hurts to a first-round bye. Their reward for that bye is the likelihood they will be without the top-scoring player in most fantasy leagues coming off that bye. Gardner Minshew would get the start if Hurts can't go and a difficult player to start as anything other than a low-end QB2 in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.

Jonathan Taylor likely to miss the rest of the season

It looks like the Indianapolis Colts will have to shut star running back Jonathan Taylor down for the rest of the season. Taylor has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Running backs Deon Jackson and Zack Moss carried the load for the Colts after Taylor’s early exit against Minnesota and are expected to continue to do so. (Fox 59 in Indianapolis)
FFToday's Take: That will do it for Taylor's 2022 season which has been a disappointment due to TD regression and injury. Zack Moss played 67% of the snaps against Minnesota while Deon Jackson played 32% and received most of the passing down work. Both will be waiver wire options for the fantasy playoffs.

#Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers (concussion) is expected to play, while RB Rhamondre Stevenson, questionable with an ankle injury, has what is described as a "good chance" to go, as well. A pre-game workout will determine his fate. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Meyers was limited in practice this week but should be good to go in a decent matchup against the Raiders. With DeVante Parker out, Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne and Tyquan Thornton will round out the rest of the receiving crew. Three running backs are expected to be active today for New England: Stevenson, Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong Jr.
