Game Preview
Mike Krueger

Predicted Score: Patriots 27, Redskins 13

New England: By now, I'm sure you're sick of hearing how good the Patriots are and frankly I am too. We know they're good and we know they should win this game. We know Brady is on pace for 61 touchdowns and you know that Brady, Moss, Welker, and Stallworth should all be in your lineup each week. What we don't know is when Laurence Maroney will actually be worth of a spot in your lineup. His 6 carries for 31 yards last week in a blowout win doesn't inspire confidence. Is he still injured? It's hard to tell at this point making Maroney a risky, but tantalizing play due to the Patriots dominance on offense. Keep him on your bench for now until the picture becomes clearer.

  • Start: QB Tom Brady, WR Randy Moss, WR Wes Welker, WR Donte Stallworth
  • Consider: RB Laurence Maroney, Patriots D/ST
  • Sit: TE Ben Watson, RB Sammy Morris

Washington: It's been funny to hear Joe Gibbs talk this week like his team is the underdog of the century, and sing the virtues of the Patriots like they're gods. "Do you have a game plan that will work against them? If you do, leave it here. Because I don't think anybody else has got one right now. We're going to struggle hard." Well, they might be gods, but this is the NFL in which any team can win on any given Sunday but unfortunately for the Skins' their head coach is right… they have no chance. Jason Campbell and the 25th ranked offense will give it the ole' college try but any chance the Redskins have of a victory will fall at the hands of their defense and the Patriots bringing their "C" game. Don't bet on it, but do bet on a Redskins loss… for entertainment purposes only, of course.

  • Start: RB Clinton Portis, TE Chris Cooley, WR Santana Moss
  • Consider: QB Jason Campbell
  • Sit: WR Antwaan Randle El, RB Ladell Betts, Redskins D/ST
