Predicted Score: Bears 24, Lions 13

Detroit: What's happened to the Lions passing game? Jon Kitna has posted goose eggs in the touchdown column the last two weeks without cracking the 200-yd mark. The good news is, Kitna did throw two TDs in their last meeting (just four weeks ago) when the Lions rallied to score 34 points in the fourth quarter for a 37-27 win. Rookie Calvin Johnson cracked the starting lineup last week and is expected to be more involved in the offense from here on out as is Kevin Jones who replaced Tatum Bell as the starting running back. In fact, Bell has been demoted to third string behind T.J. Duckett who receives short-yardage and goal-line carries. Given their recent struggles it's tough to predict a Lions victory on the road, plus the Bears have won five of their last six home games against the Lions.

Chicago: It's obvious the Bears defense is not what it used to be and the lack of running game (81.1 yards per, 30th ranked) with Cedric Benson is just the kind of formula that leads to a losing record. So, its no surprise Chicago sits at 3-4 facing a critical game against a division opponent. Rex Grossman has invigorated the Bears passing game throwing over 300 yards the last two weeks making Chicago receivers and tight ends good fantasy plays. That trend should continue this week against a Lions defense that's given up 12 passing touchdowns to date and 300-yd games to Josh McCown, Donovan McNabb, and Jeff Garcia. No late game comebacks here by the Lions… the Bears return to .500 before heading to their bye week.
