| In 2022, Kirk put up 84 receptions, 1,108 yards, and 8 TDs. In three seasons since, he has averaged 37 catches for 468 yards and 1.7 TDs while appearing in 33 of 51 possible games. It's a big reason why the 29-year-old wideout will be suiting up for his third team in as many years. He should work ahead of a returning Demarcus Robinson, who posted a 22-276-1 line in 2025, but barring injury to Evans and/or Pearsall, there's no clear path to playable fantasy value for Kirk. Those in deeper leagues might want to add him to watch lists. In standard formats, he's not worth tracking out of the gate.

 Season over for 49ers wideout Ricky Pearsall
Will undergo season-ending knee surgery

|  | After lengthy discussions with doctors, 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall is expected to undergo season-ending surgery on the nagging PCL injury that dates back to last season and be out for the year, John Lynch told reporters. Pearsall is expected to make a full recovery in time for the 2027 season. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Pearsall's 2026 season is over before it even began. After experiencing swelling in his knee a few days into camp, a decision has been made to try surgery on nagging knee injury. The 49ers recently brought back Deebo Samuel and will add him to the mix of Mike Evans, Christian Kirk (calf) and rookie De'Zhaun Stribling. Stribling's role and usage during camp will be something fantasy owners need to pay attention to.

FFToday's Take: With Ricky Pearsall and Christian Kirk having injury issues to begin camp, the 49ers are bringing back a familiar face. We'll need more injury info on Pearsall before accurately assessing Deebo's fantasy value but this is obviously a decent landing spot given he knows Kyle Shanahan's system. This may pour some cold water on the recent De'Zhaun Stribling steam.

FFToday's Take: Pearsall has had trouble staying on the field during the first two years of his career which has seen him play in 20 games. His knee issue from last year is still giving him problems which doesn't bode well for his fantasy outlook in 2026. With Christian Kirk currently sidelined due to a calf strain, they hype on rookie De'Zhaun Stribling will be in full force while we wait for the 49ers to decide on Pearsall's treatment plan.
