Analysis:
Witten and Winslow assume positions #1 and #2 in the rankings
due to concerns about the health of Antonio Gates. Gates still
comes in at #3, but will no doubt be a risky pick until his
status becomes more clear. Clear drop-offs after Shockey at
#7 and especially Crumpler at #13. If you don't have a TE
by the time the top 13 guys are off the board, you may be
grasping for straws if the Geeks are correct. I was surprised
to see Vernon Davis fall to #12 based upon his talent, but
I was surprised to see Gore fall as far as he did, too. I
guess the QB situation in San Francisco has everybody a little
wary.
