Eagles "high" on Mack Hollins
Team impressed by fourth-round WR, former UDFA
By: Doug Orth | Jul 3 2017, 6:10 pm

Two reasons why Eagles cut Dorial Green-Beckham: Team high on second-year WR Marcus Johnson (really strong offseason) and rookie Mack Hollins. (Adam Caplan on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Hollins and Johnson also play special teams, which gave them an advantage over DGB. The Eagles added Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith to a receiving corps that already had Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor, so Philly was running out of room at a position where teams usually keep only five players. Hollins isn't going to make a big impact as a rookie, but his size (6-4, 221) gives him a chance to occupy the big receiver role in this offense in 2018 should Jeffery leave at the end of the season.
