2018 Outlook
Depth Chart
It may surprise many readers to learn that Agholor, a former first-round pick who appeared to be perilously close to getting cut, scored nearly the same amount of fantasy points as fellow Eagle Alshon Jeffery on 25 fewer targets.

Agholor set career highs in targets (95), receptions (62), yards (768), and touchdowns (8) while posting an impressive 65% catch rate. Although he is often the third or fourth option behind Jeffery, Ertz, and the Philly receiving backs, head coach Doug Pederson made Agholor a focus in the red zone (18 red zone targets), often designing misdirection passing routes for the shifty receiver.

The fact that Agholor jumped up to eight receiving touchdowns after catching a combined three in his first two seasons might suggest that he is in line for some negative regression. It also does not help that his quarterback's 7.5% touchdown rate late season was an outlier and Agholor was a beneficiary of that outlier season. Despite these negative factors, the volume he received last season will likely continue, with 90 to 100 targets well within reach.

News From The Past 90 Days
Injury Alshon Jeffery could return next week
Expected to miss Week 3
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 23, 7:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles’ WR Alshon Jeffery, questionable with a shoulder injury, is not expected to play against the Colts on Sunday, per source. Jeffery could return next week. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: With Jeffery expected to miss, the Eagles will roll with Nelson Agholor, Kamar Aiken and newly acquired Jordan Matthews at receiver. Agholor and Aiken should receiver the most playing with Agholor being the only trustworthy fantasy option at receiver.

Jordan Matthews returns to Philadelphia
Eagles depleted at WR
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 19, 8:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Depleted at wide receiver, the Eagles turned to a familiar face for help, signing Jordan Matthews on Wednesday while placing starting wideout Mike Wallace on injured reserve. He was traded to the Buffalo Bills prior to the start of last season along with a third-round pick for cornerback Ronald Darby. Hampered by injury, Matthews bounced from Buffalo to New England and was released by the Patriots with an injury settlement in August. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: The Eagles are thin at receiver with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) still week-to-week according to head coach Doug Pederson and Mike Wallace injuring his ankle in Week 2. Kamar Aiken played the majority of snaps last week along with Nelson Agholor. Matthews has typically played in the slot, so its unclear how the Eagles will utilize him given Agholor has taken to the inside position.

Injury Alshon Jeffery still "week to week"
WR hopeful he can return to practice this week
By: Doug Orth | Mon Sep 17, 7:55 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
Doug Pederson still says Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is a "week to week" injury. (Dave Zangaro on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The cupboard is looking pretty bare at receiver at the moment behind Nelson Agholor, as Jeffery, Mack Hollins and Mike Wallace are all out. Kamar Aiken may be primed for a return to fantasy relevancy over the next few weeks. Jeffery is worth holding onto, but it is looking more and more likely he may not be useful in fantasy until midseason.

Injury Carson Wentz to start in Week 3
Medically cleared from ACL injury
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 17, 10:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Carson Wentz has been medically cleared and will start Sunday, as Head Coach Doug Pederson will announce during his press conference. (Eagles on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Wentz gets a decent matchup against the Colts in Week 3 but has depleted weapons. Alshon Jeffery (shoulder), Mike Wallace (ankle) and Mack Hollins will all miss this game leaving TE Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor should be target hogs. Wentz will be a shaky low-end QB1.

Injury Alshon Jeffery expected to miss 2 games
Expected to be off the PUP list on Saturday
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Aug 28, 5:15 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles receiver Alshon Jeffery is expected to miss at least the first two games of the season, but the team will activate him to the 53-man roster this weekend with optimism he could be back by Week 3, according to league and team sources. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Jeffery played with a shoulder injury in 2017 and then had surgery back in February. Jeffery's ADP (WR29) has be on a slide recently which will likely continue given this news. The Eagles receiver group is somewhat thin with Nelson Agholor, Mike Wallace and Mack Hollins leading the group. Rookie TE Dallas Goedert could see an expanded role while Jeffery is out.

Injury Jeffery may not be ready Week 1
Rotator cuff surgery
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Aug 13, 2:40 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
As #Eagles gear up for the season, WR Alshon Jeffery has remained on PUP. Though he’s progressing according to plan, sources say the timing of his rotator cuff surgery -- following the Super Bowl win - means there’s a chance he may not be ready for the opener. Could stay on PUP. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Jeffery's low-end WR2 status will likely take a hit on this news. If he stays on the PUP list to begin the season, he would miss the first six games. We should get more concrete news on this situation in the next week or two. Nelson Agholor, Mike Wallace and Mack Hollins are next up on the depth chart.
