2018 Outlook
Depth Chart
After a slow start to the season in which the former second-round pick from South Carolina manned just two receiving touchdowns in his first seven games, Alshon Jeffery came through for fantasy owners with a receiving score in six of his final eight contests. The high touchdown production made up for the fact that Jeffery caught just 49% of his targets, failed to reach 100 yards in any game, and posted the second-lowest yard per reception average of his six-year NFL career.

Jeffery is an attractive option for owners playing in standard leagues as he will continue to be a primary touchdown scoring threat at the wide receiver position for Carson Wentz. Jeffery will also become more of a valuable asset in PPR formats if he is able to positively regress back to his career catch rate of 55% and yard per reception average of 15 yards.

News From The Past 90 Days
Injury Alshon Jeffery a gametime decision
Shoulder appears healthy
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 30, 2:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
#Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery would be making his season debut today based solely on the health of his shoulder, sources say. However, as sick as he was over the past 3 days, his status is best described as a game-time decision, I’m told. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: This is good news for Jeffery's availability for Week 5 but you have to wonder how effective he will be even if he is active in Week 4. The Eagles / Titans play early so we'll know Jeffery's status roughly 90 minutes before kickoff.

Injury Alshon Jeffery could return next week
Expected to miss Week 3
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 23, 7:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles’ WR Alshon Jeffery, questionable with a shoulder injury, is not expected to play against the Colts on Sunday, per source. Jeffery could return next week. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: With Jeffery expected to miss, the Eagles will roll with Nelson Agholor, Kamar Aiken and newly acquired Jordan Matthews at receiver. Agholor and Aiken should receiver the most playing with Agholor being the only trustworthy fantasy option at receiver.

Injury Ajayi, Sproles Out; Clement questionable
Clement new addition to injury report
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 21, 1:55 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
#Eagles Injury Report for the Colts game: OUT: RB Jay Ajayi (back), RB Darren Sproles (hamstring). QUESTIONABLE: RB Corey Clement (quadricep), LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (groin), WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder), T Jason Peters (quadricep). RB Corey Clement (quad) is a new addition to the injury report. Must have injured himself during Friday’s practice. Left the locker room before media showed. #Eagles may have to make a roster move if Ajayi, Sproles and Clement are out. (Jeff McLance on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Eagles are having issues at RB. Ajayi missed practice all week as did Darren Sproles but now Clement, who was inline for 15-18 touches this week, has popped up on the injury report with a quad issue. It appears Clement should be able to play this week but this new injury takes the shine off his fantasy upside.

Jordan Matthews returns to Philadelphia
Eagles depleted at WR
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 19, 8:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Depleted at wide receiver, the Eagles turned to a familiar face for help, signing Jordan Matthews on Wednesday while placing starting wideout Mike Wallace on injured reserve. He was traded to the Buffalo Bills prior to the start of last season along with a third-round pick for cornerback Ronald Darby. Hampered by injury, Matthews bounced from Buffalo to New England and was released by the Patriots with an injury settlement in August. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: The Eagles are thin at receiver with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) still week-to-week according to head coach Doug Pederson and Mike Wallace injuring his ankle in Week 2. Kamar Aiken played the majority of snaps last week along with Nelson Agholor. Matthews has typically played in the slot, so its unclear how the Eagles will utilize him given Agholor has taken to the inside position.

Injury Alshon Jeffery still "week to week"
WR hopeful he can return to practice this week
By: Doug Orth | Mon Sep 17, 7:55 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
Doug Pederson still says Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is a "week to week" injury. (Dave Zangaro on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The cupboard is looking pretty bare at receiver at the moment behind Nelson Agholor, as Jeffery, Mack Hollins and Mike Wallace are all out. Kamar Aiken may be primed for a return to fantasy relevancy over the next few weeks. Jeffery is worth holding onto, but it is looking more and more likely he may not be useful in fantasy until midseason.

Injury Carson Wentz to start in Week 3
Medically cleared from ACL injury
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 17, 10:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Carson Wentz has been medically cleared and will start Sunday, as Head Coach Doug Pederson will announce during his press conference. (Eagles on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Wentz gets a decent matchup against the Colts in Week 3 but has depleted weapons. Alshon Jeffery (shoulder), Mike Wallace (ankle) and Mack Hollins will all miss this game leaving TE Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor should be target hogs. Wentz will be a shaky low-end QB1.

Injury Mike Wallace out "a while" with ankle injury
Injuries for Eagles are piling up
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 17, 8:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
The #Eagles are preparing to be without WR Mike Wallace (ankle) for “a while,” sources tell me and @TomPelissero. Evaluations ongoing but it’s clearly going to be an extended absence for Wallace. Another tough blow at for Philly. (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It turns out Wallace fractured his fibula and will miss and extended period of time. He can safely be dropped in most 12-team redraft leagues. Alshon Jeffery remains week to week with a shoulder injury.

Injury Darren Sproles out with hamstring injury
Moer ground game with Ajayi?
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 14, 2:30 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
#Eagles Injury Report for the Bucs game: OUT: WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder), RB Darren Sproles (hamstring), QB Carson Wentz (knee) QUESTIONABLE: WR Shelton Gibson (knee) (Jeff McLance on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: One less cog in the wheel should help the fantasy prospects of Jay Ajayi and Corey Clement although it's difficult to expect Ajayi picking up much of the receiving work Sproles leaves behind. Wendall Smallwood should operate as the No.3 running back.

Injury Alshon Jeffery expected to miss 2 games
Expected to be off the PUP list on Saturday
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Aug 28, 5:15 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles receiver Alshon Jeffery is expected to miss at least the first two games of the season, but the team will activate him to the 53-man roster this weekend with optimism he could be back by Week 3, according to league and team sources. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Jeffery played with a shoulder injury in 2017 and then had surgery back in February. Jeffery's ADP (WR29) has be on a slide recently which will likely continue given this news. The Eagles receiver group is somewhat thin with Nelson Agholor, Mike Wallace and Mack Hollins leading the group. Rookie TE Dallas Goedert could see an expanded role while Jeffery is out.
