| Jamaal Williams likely out for a bit|
Suffered hamstring injury in Week 2
By: Doug Orth | Tue Sep 19, 11:50 pm
|Saints’ RB Jamaal Williams is expected to need “some time” to recover from his hamstring injury, per HC Dennis Allen. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)|
FFToday's Take: New Orleans may be down to Tony Jones Jr. and rookie Kendre Miller for Week 3 against the Packers. Week 4 cannot come soon enough for the Saints, who will get Alvin Kamara back that week for a NFC South showdown with the Bucs. It is possible - albeit unlikely - that Williams may not have much of a role upon his return if Miller shows out against Green Bay. Expect Williams to take a back seat to Kamara but remain in the RB3 conversation once he is healthy again.

Missed practice Thursday, no timetable for return
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Aug 31, 2:51 pm
|TE Taysom Hill was back in Saints practice Thursday. Still no CB Marshon Lattimore, RB Kendre Miller, WR Tre'Quan Smith, S J.T. Gray, OL Landon Young and practice squad WR Lynn Bowden Jr.
Dennis Allen said Miller is dealing with a hamstring issue. Didn't place a timetable on it. (Mike Triplett on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: With Alvin Kamara suspended the first three games, the fantasy community was expected the rookie Miller to contribute early in the season. We don't know at this point how this will affect Miller's Week 1 status, however the Saints did sign RB Tony Jones to the practice squad.

Further evaluation needed

|Saints rookie RB Kendre Miller suffered a knee sprain, per coach Dennis Allen. Will have to get some imaging for further evaluation. (Mike Triplett on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Miller was expected to have an early-season role along with Jamaal Williams while Alvin Kamara serves his three-game suspension. That role is now in doubt depending on how severe this injury turns out to be. Miller was nursing a knee injury during the off-season.

Reached a plea agreement in July
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Aug 4, 2:29 pm
|Sources: NFL is suspending Saints RB Alvin Kamara 3 games for his role in a fight outside a Las Vegas nightclub in 2022. Kamara reached a plea agreement in July, and no longer is facing a felony charge for his role in the fight that occurred before the Pro Bowl in February 2022. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: We've been waiting for the league discipline piece on this issue for quite some time and now we have it. The Saints have Jamaal Williams and rookie Kendre Miller to lean on while Kamara is out but expect Williams to do the heavy lifting. Kamara's RB31 ADP is probably a bargain given his talent. Drafters expecting a bounceback season can feel comfortable with him as their RB3.

Reduced charge could mean shorter suspension?
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Jul 11, 1:44 pm
|Alvin Kamara has agreed to plead guilty to a lesser misdemeanor charge for his alleged role in a 2022 Las Vegas fight. The felony charge is going away. Kamara is still subject to a possible suspension by the NFL, which has punished several players in the past even when they weren’t convicted or charges were dropped. But this should pave the way for league to hand out discipline. (Mike Triplett on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: What the discipline is remains to be seen but the reduced charge could lead to a shorter suspension. Kamara will have be subject o 30 hours of community service and pay the victim $100K for medical bills. The Saints have added Jamaal Williams and rookie Kendre Miller to their running back room giving them plenty of depth the whether any kind of Kamara suspension.
