I thought for sure Minnesota would cut ties with Jones in the offseason, especially after coming off a lackluster 548 rushing yard season, his fewest since his rookie year in 2017. Instead, the Vikings inked him to a one-year deal, and will roll it back with their two-headed backfield. Already one of the most unexciting tandems in the NFL, the Vikings hope the presence of Murray, and a healthy offensive line will open running lanes, because Jones's age, and advanced metrics don't paint a pretty picture. A timeshare, and a nearly guaranteed set of nagging injuries relegate Jones to the RB3/FLEX range this season.
