2021 Outlook
Depth Chart
I could dazzle you with a lot of fancy stats here, but let's just cut to the chase. This beast of a man has rushed for over 3,500 yards and 33 touchdowns over the last two years. That's really all you need to know. But just in case you need more, it's worth noting that his attempts, yards, and rushing touchdowns have all gone up each year of his career. He's not going to offer much as a receiver out of the backfield, but it's not unreasonable to think that he could post a second consecutive 2,000-yard rushing season and approach 400 touches and 20 TD's.

Could he get injured? Of course. Could he start to feel the effects of his workload the last two seasons? I suppose. But have you seen the guy's workout videos on social media? In a word, ridiculous. He'll be ready and in shape, and might very well be the strongest man, pound for pound, in the NFL.

There's very little debate on this one. Henry is the No.2 RB behind Christian McCaffrey, and probably the second overall player off the board in just about every draft.

Injury Derrick Henry to return in early January?
Suffered foot injury in Week 8
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 18, 11:50 pm

Tennessee Titans
Per ESPN's Dianna Russini via a source: "There is optimism that (Derrick Henry) will be back early January. That is perfect timing for this team for playoffs to begin." (ESPN - Dianna Russini)

FFToday's Take: Henry was given an 8-10 week timeline shortly after undergoing foot surgery, which could allow him to return during the fantasy playoffs if he meets the most optimistic projection. Until then, Adrian Peterson and D'Onta Foreman will continue to split the early-down work for Tennessee. Foreman has looked better to this point, but it is important to remember he was in camp with Atlanta this summer and occasionally worked out for teams before landing in Tennessee. Peterson is basically getting his first reps since last season.

Titans signing Adrian Peterson
36 year-old RB will help fill the void
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 1, 2:44 pm

Tennessee Titans
Source: The #Titans are signing FA RB Adrian Peterson, putting him on the practice squad then elevating him to the roster. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: We can expect Peterson to play a significant role while Derrick Henry (foot) is out, which could be most of the regular season. Peterson (36) played last year in Detroit averaging 3.9 yards per carry. Some mixture of Peterson on early downs and Jeremy McNichols on passing downs is the likeliest scenario for running back usage in Tennessee. Peterson is a worthy add for RB needy teams but doesn't hold a lot of PPR value.

Injury Derrick Henry may have suffered a season-ending foot injury
Finished Week 8 after having foot looked at in first half
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 1, 9:11 am

Tennessee Titans
Titans’ RB Derrick Henry suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury during Sunday’s 34-31 win over Indianapolis, sources reported ESPN. Henry is undergoing an MRI today to determine the full extent of the damage. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Henry was getting his foot looked yesterday but did finish the game but had his worst performance of the season (28-68-0). He's been very durable throughout his carreer missing only 3 games in five-plus seasons. He's racked up 219 carries in 8 weeks this year and become a dominant force at the running back position. If he misses time, we'll likely see more passing from the Titans offense. Jeremy McNichols is next up on the depth chart. It wouldn't be surprising to see the the Titans make a trade for a running back.

Injury A.J. Brown good to go for Week 5
Julio Jones Out
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 8, 2:45 pm

Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee #Titans got some good news on Friday when Coach Mike Vrabel said Friday that wide receiver A.J. Brown would play Sunday in Jacksonville. Julio Jones did not practice all week again with his injury and is out a second straight week with a right hamstring issue. (Terry McCormick on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Brown got in full practices on both Thursday and Friday and should give some juice to the struggling passing attack in Tennessee. He's the only receiving option worth fantasy consideration as we expect the gameplan as the Jaguars will be focused on Derrick Henry.

Injury Julio Jones getting treatment for leg injury
Status for Week 4 unclear
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 29, 10:34 am

Tennessee Titans
Could the #Titans be without their top two WRs this Sunday? WR Julio Jones is getting treatment on a leg injury, and his status vs the #Jets is up in the air, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. A.J. Brown also may miss a week or two with a hamstring injury. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Titans may run Derrick Henry 40 times this week against the Jets if Julio and Brown are out. Even if Julio plays, expect to see a lot of Chester Rogers and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine on Sunday.
