Game Preview
Mike Krueger

Predicted Score: Ravens 24, Cardinals 14

Arizona: The Cardinals looked dismal Week 1 against a tough 49ers defense then came to life last week at home squeaking out a 23-20 victory over Seattle. Leinart had a decent showing completing 62% of his passes for 299 yds and 1 score. Edgerrin James has averaged 110 yds and 1 TD over the first two weeks but looks to have a tough matchup this week against a Ravens-D that hasn't allowed a rushing TD and only given up 8.4 fpts per game to running backs; best in the league. The Cardinals will likely take their lumps here before coming home to face Pittsburgh in Week 4. WR Larry Fitzgerald ranks 7th in WR Targets (22) but 51st in Fpts (10.7) through 2 weeks.

  • Start: RB Edgerrin James, WR Larry Fitzgerald
  • Consider: QB Matt Leinart WR Anquan Boldin, WR Bryant Johnson
  • Sit: TE Leonard Pope

Baltimore: McNair is practicing and should play this week barring a setback with his groin injury but more encouraging is OT Jonathan Ogden who is testing his hyperextended toe and will likely be a gametime decision. His return would be a welcome addition to the Ravens 21st ranked offense. Adam Terry will start at left tackle if Ogden sits again. Whether Ogden or McNair hit the field Sunday likely won't affect the outcome as defense and a big dose of McGahee should be enough to hold off the Cardinals who still struggle to play their best on the road. WR Mark Clayton will return to the starting lineup after being limited the first two weeks with a sprained ankle but let him get a full game under his belt before inserting him into your fantasy lineup.

  • Start: RB Willis McGahee, TE Todd Heap
  • Consider: WR Derrick Mason, QB Steve McNair (inj)
  • Sit: WR Mark Clayton (inj) WR Demetrius Williams
