Custom Rankings and Draft Manager
|

The Cheatsheet Compiler & Draft Buddy software tools are ready for the 2007
baseball season! As with our popular football
version, the Cheatsheet Compiler helps create custom cheatsheets for your league. Draft Buddy is a draft
manager used to enter the draft picks as they happen, and it knocks the players off
your cheatsheets and updates other reports like team rosters.
The Baseball Compiler & Buddy support rotisserie and fantasy point scoring systems, and draft pick and auction
leagues. Player projections from fantasy baseball experts RotoChamps.com are included.
The projections are updated throughout the preseason and downloaded into the Compiler at the press
of a button.
Together the Baseball Compiler & Buddy tandem form one heck of a tool for the most important day of fantasy
baseball season - draft day! To top it off, you can't beat the price. The Baseball Compiler & Buddy are
completely FREE.
Download links are on the right. Getting started instructions are
included below. Don't forget to send an email

System Requirements
To run the Cheatsheet Compiler & Draft Buddy you need a full version copy of Microsoft Excel, the
most popular spreadsheet program in the world and included with Microsoft Office. If you have MS Excel
97 or higher running on your computer, the Compiler & Buddy should work fine.
The Compiler & Buddy are cross-platform compatible for Windows and Mac versions of Excel.
Download and Installation
The download file, indicated with a .exe extension on the end of the name, is a self-extracting zip file.
The Compiler & Draft Buddy files, one each and indicated with a .xls extension, are archived within
the download file.
- Save the download (.exe) file to you computer, and then choose Open when the download is complete.
- A window will appear prompting you to unzip the file. Select Unzip.
- After unzipping this file, your copy of the Cheatsheet Compiler & Draft Buddy (two .xls files)
will be located on your hard drive in the directory:
/Program Files/Cheatsheet Compiler/
- From Excel, choose File > Open and browse to this directory to open the Compiler & Buddy
files. (Note the Compiler file should open right away in Excel the first time after unzipping.)
Macros
When you open either the Compiler or Draft Buddy, you should be prompted by Excel to enable macros. Macros must be enabled for the Compiler & Buddy to work properly. If you are not prompted to enable macros, then it likely means your Excel macro security setting is set at high, which automatically disables macros. Perform the following steps:
- In Excel, choose Tools > Macro > Security.
- Adjust your security level to medium.
- Close the Compiler & Buddy, then re-open them.
- You should now be prompted to enable macros. Select Enable.
Version Notes
The current version for 2007 is 2.0, released March 5th. Here are the changes from prior version 1.0:
- Compiler: Now includes players at all positions in the cheatsheets that meet the
position eligibilty setting (see Victor Martinez, Chone Figgins, etc.).
- Buddy: New projected standings report for roto leagues calculates the standings as the
draft progresses, and indicates which stat categories each team is strong or weak in.
Football Version
Are you looking for the football version of the Cheatsheet
Compiler & Draft Buddy? It is planned for release in early June for the 2007 NFL season.
