Grab a Helmet

1) Jameson Williams vs. Dallas (Thu)

With or without Amon-Ra St. Brown, Williams should be in for another big fantasy total. He was the main man last Thursday, after ARSB was sidelined with a low-ankle sprain. Goff aimed 10 targets at Williams and he caught seven for 144 and a score. Even if St. Brown returns, they both should score well. The Cowboys defense is allowing a league-worst 40.1 FPts/G top opposing wide receiver rooms. The last two weeks, they have allowed a 25-point scorer (A.J. Brown and Rashee Rice).

Justin Jefferson

2) Justin Jefferson vs. Washington (only if J.J. McCarthy is starting)

Jefferson is a great receiver, but he's scored a total of 30 fantasy points (7.7, 11.1, 8.8 and 2.4) the past month. That said, at least J.J. McCarthy knows to get him the ball as often as possible. Last weekend, rookie Max Brosmer was ugly in his first ever start. Also, he threw 10 balls at Jordan Addison and only six to one of the best receivers on the planet. McCarthy isn't great, ok, he hasn't even been good, but I guarantee Jefferson sees double-digit targets. The Commanders secondary is allowing 36.5 FPts/G to opposing wideouts. I'll take my chances with Jefferson and 10+ targets.

3) CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens @ Detroit (Thu)

If the Cowboys can't run the ball because they are facing the No.1 run defense in the league, I'm guessing Prescott's arm with be pretty sore after all the passes he throws Thursday night. He leads the league in passing yards per game (271.8) and his two elite receivers are doing most of the damage. Pickens ranks fifth in the league (19.6 FPts/G) and Lamb is eighth (18.0). Both should get a workout against a secondary which just lost CB Terrion Arnold for the season.

Grab some Pine

1) DeVonta Smith @ Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are No.1 against opposing wideouts allowing just 24.6 FPts/G. Given the usage for A.J. Brown the past two games (22 targets, 18 catches, 242 yards and three scores), that doesn't leave much of an opportunity for DeVonta Smith. "Skinny Batman" doesn't say much or demand the ball like his teammate and hasn't scored in a month. This is not likely the game he goes big.

2) Xavier Worthy vs. Houston

Unless you can write in the name Rashee Rice, don't start any other Chiefs wideouts. The Texans simply don't allow fantasy points... to quarterbacks or receivers. I think Rice will get plenty of short passes in hopes that he breaks one, but a deep throw to Worthy requires blocking and the Chiefs aren't very good in that category. That's a problem when you are going up against Danielle Hunter (11 sacks) and Will Anderson (10.5 sacks).

3) Any Tennessee receiver @ Cleveland

Myles Garrett has 19 sacks... the end.

Ok, that's only a slight exaggeration. The Browns' pass defense ranks fourth in WR fantasy points allowing (25.9). They rank No.1 in fewest passing receiving yards allowed per game to wideouts (113.7). Rookie Elic Ayomanor hasn't produced double-digit fantasy points since Week 3. Chimere Dike has posted three double-digit games in the last six weeks, but last week fell flat when called upon and caught one of four targets for eight yards. Calvin Ridley is out for the season. Stay away.
