1) Jared Goff vs. Dallas (Thu)

In six home games, Goff is completing 69.8% of his passes with 14 touchdowns against just three interceptions. Now, he faces the most generous of all defenses, Dallas, who allows 28.3 FPts/G to opposing QBs. It's a must win for the 7-5 Lions, who can't afford to slip up here with a road trip to the Rams next weekend and trips to Minnesota and Chicago to end the season. I'll be a little less excited if Amon-Ra St. Brown (low-ankle sprain) can't go for this Thursday night game, but still play him.

2) Jordan Love vs. Chicago

It's time for that Jordan Love late-season push. He got it started in Week 13 with four touchdown passes against Detroit on the road. He comes home to face a vulnerable secondary in Week 14. The Bears have allowed the second-most passing touchdowns (24 through 12 games). Christian Watson has become a playmaker along with Dontayvion Wicks and Romeo Doubs.

3) Lamar Jackson vs. Pittsburgh

It's sad that it's come to the point where I have to say play the multi-time MVP. But here we are… after a month of poor production (16.4, 10.7, 8.8 and 15.0). The Steelers rank 28th in points allowed to opposing QBs (23.5). In the first of two games down the stretch with the division title on the line, I expect the best from Jackson because it's still the regular season… not the playoffs (sorry about that dig, Lamar).

1) Patrick Mahomes vs. Houston

Yes, Patrick is great. Yes, he threw for four touchdowns last week and ranks second behind Allen producing 25.7 FPts/G. But this is the best defense in football. They held Matthew Stafford to 16.1 points, Josh Allen to 14.7 points and Daniel Jones last Sunday to 18.2 fantasy points. They are allowing only one touchdown pass-per-game and have 11 interceptions in those 12 games. They have yet to allow a QB rushing touchdown and when Mahomes doesn't run for a touchdown he's averaging 23.5 FPts/G this season. That's more than two points below his season average. The Texans haven't allowed 23 points this season and only three times over 20 points to opposing QBs. Only one quarterback has thrown for 250 yards. Mahomes may get some points, but it will be a tough grind.

2) Geno Smith vs. Denver

It's not going to be a good day for Geno Smith. The Broncos rank sixth in fantasy points allowed. They allow less than one touchdown pass-per-game. They lead the league in sacks (51). These two teams played in Week 10 and Smith produced 7.9 fantasy points, throwing for less than 150 yards. I know four teams and quarterbacks are on bye, but this is not the spot for you to use Smith.

3) Jayden Daniels / Marcus Mariota @ Minnesota

Whether it’s Jayden Daniels returning from a dislocated left elbow, or one more games with Marcus Mariota, this isn’t a favorable matchup. The Vikings rank No.4 in opposing points allowed to fantasy QBs (16.7). Daniels will be rusty having played just once since Week 7. The Vikings and DC Brian Flores blitz early and often from anywhere on the field. If it’s Marcus Mariota, the team is 0-4 in his last four starts and the only way he produced good numbers in last week’s game was throwing 50 times in a game which went to overtime. The Vikings haven’t allowed a 20-point fantasy quarterback since Week 9.
