Raiders expected to trade for Schaub Texans to get late-round pick By: Mike Krueger | Mar 21 2014, 9:00 am
The Oakland Raiders will trade a late-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft to the Houston Texans in exchange for quarterback Matt Schaub, a league source told ESPN. Schaub, who has a $14.5 million salary-cap figure and a $10 million base salary for 2014, became expendable when the Texans signed former Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to a two-year deal Thursday night. FFToday's Take:The Raiders currently have Terrelle Pryor, Matt McGloin and Trent Edwards on the roster. Oakland had been rumored to be QB shopping with their No. 5 draft pick but this move will cast some doubt on which position they'll take with their top pick. Houston is also QB shopping with their No.1 overall selection.
