Browns to hire Kyle Shanahan as OC Former OC of Redskins headed to Cleveland By: Mike Krueger | Feb 1 2014, 8:00 pm
The Cleveland Browns will hire Kyle Shanahan as their new offensive coordinator, sources confirmed to ESPN.
Shanahan had been the offensive coordinator for the last four seasons under his father, Mike Shanahan, with the Washington Redskins. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take:The Shanahan offensive philosophy features a strong "X" receiver and tight end. Andre Johnson / Owen Daniels in Houston and Pierre Garcon / Jordan Reed were beneficiaries of the Shanahan offense. This is good news for the fantasy prospects of Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron. The big question in Cleveland will be what rookie QB competes with Brian Hoyer for the starting job in 2014.
