Omarion Hampton cleared to practice Rookie RB has been sidelined since Week 5 with ankle injury By: Doug Orth | Tue Nov 25, 4:00 pm

FFToday's Take: While it is great news for his eventual return, Hampton still has to show the coaching staff enough in practice this week to be activated. Even if that happens, the most fantasy managers can probably hope for is around 15 touches - with the rest likely going to Kimani Vidal. If Hampton plays this week, he will catch a break against the Raiders, whose offense has been abysmal of late. It likely guarantees a game script in which the Chargers can pick and choose their spot with Hampton. If he plays in Week 13, he should be considered a strong RB2 option.

| Omarion Hampton unlikely to be ready soon Ankle injury expected to keep RB out until after Week 12 bye By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 3, 8:00 pm

| | Jim Harbaugh said he doesn’t think the Chargers will open the window for running back Omarion Hampton to return from IR until after the Week 12 bye. (ESPN.com - Kris Rhim)
FFToday's Take: Harbaugh suggested this was a possibility a couple of weeks ago, so this only would seem to confirm the initial plan. Fantasy managers who have been able to remain in their league's playoff chase without him - likely because of adding Kimani Vidal or Rico Dowdle off waivers - should still tentatively plan on getting the rookie back in Week 13 against the Raiders. Hampton was beginning to emerge as a strong RB1 before his Week 5 ankle injury, so he could be an actual league-winner if he is able to find the same form upon his return.

| Omarion Hampton headed to injured reserve RB to miss next four games with Week 5 ankle injury By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 6, 6:50 pm

| | Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton will be placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury, coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday. By going on IR, Hampton will miss at least the next four games.
Hampton appeared to suffer the injury on a fourth-and-2 play with 1:53 remaining in the third quarter of the Chargers' 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday. The first-round rookie tripped over Commanders linebacker Frankie Luvu and came up limping. Hampton didn't return to the game and left the stadium with a walking boot on his left foot. (ESPN.com - Kris Rhim)
FFToday's Take: The 2025 season refuses to let fantasy managers have nice things for very long. Two weeks after taking over the Chargers' backfield following Najee Harris' Achilles injury, the rookie first-rounder will be sidelined through at least Week 9. Hassan Haskins will be expected to handle the early-down duties in his absence, while Kimani Vidal should be entrusted with most of the receiving work. Considering the state of the Chargers' offensive line, both backs could struggle to maintain flex value.

FFToday's Take: Hampton missed some time late in the loss to the Commanders but was on the sideline testing his ankle. The fact that he's in a walking doesn't mean the injury is severe. We probably won't get much information from HC Jim Harbaugh this week so we'll have to monitor Hampton's practice status closely. Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins would likely form some kind of timeshare if Hampton misses Week 6 against the Dolphins.
