Allgeier has proven to have RB1 qualities in a shared role in Atlanta, totaling 2,876 rushing yards and 20 total TDs. A big addition. (Jordan Schultz on X) FFToday's Take: The Cardinals are reportedly going to keep James Conner (ankle) at a reduced rate for 2026 meaning it creates a crowded backfield that includes Trey Benson who missed most of last season with a knee injury. At best, Allgeier is going to find himself in a committee and he'll have to get the bulk of his fantasy value through TDs which he was able to do last season, finding the endzone 8 times.

The Cardinals and two-time Pro Bowl RB James Conner have agreed to a revised contract to keep him in Arizona for 2026, sources say. Conner played just three games last season because an ankle injury. But he’ll be back at age 31. (Tom Pelissero on X) FFToday's Take: Conner will turn 31 in May and is coming off a lost season, cut short by an ankle injury. His free agent market would likely be minimal given his age and injury status, so this is a win for both the team and player. We'll see just how effective he will be in 2026 as he works in a likely timeshare with Trey Benson, who is coming off a knee injury of his own.
