Reed erupted in the 2024 opener in Brazil with a sizzling 4-138-1 receiving line, tacking on a 33-yard rushing touchdown as well. But the breakout that started in the 2nd half of 2023 never quite carried over into the entirety of 2024, as the lower leg injuries to Jordan Love, and the emergence of Josh Jacobs sunk the Green Bay passing game. Reed saw nearly 20 fewer targets last season, and was basically a boom-or-bust option for most of the season. The road to more looks got a lot more complicated as Green Bay added Matthew Golden in the first round, and unless one of last year's starters is cut or traded before the season, Reed will have a tough time getting to 70 receptions despite being the "WR1" on the team. With big play ability, and a nose for the endzone, I wouldn't count Reed out entirely. In standard leagues he's a decent WR2, and in PPR leagues he profiles as an upside WR3.

Jayden Reed dealing with sprained foot Spotted in a walking boot By: Mike Krueger | Sat Aug 9, 11:29 pm

| | Packers HC Matt LaFleur said he is hopeful that WR Jayden Reed will be ready for Week 1. Reed is dealing with a sprained foot that one source described as leaving him “day to day.” (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Reed did not play in the Packers pre-season Week 1 game Saturday against the Jets. LaFleur didn't describe the injury specifically so there's no real timetable for his return. The Packers have a number of options at the position including Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden and Dontayvion Wicks who can handle receiving duties if Reed isn't ready for Week 1.
