How heavily involved was Kupp on offense last season? He missed the final eight games of the season after suffering an ankle injury and still led the team in receptions (75) and receiving yards (812) while his six TDs were second only to Akers (7). His full-season pace: 142 catches, 1,534 yards, and 11 scores. The 30-year-old is one of the toughest covers in the league thanks to his precise route running, and he has the complete trust of Stafford and McVay, so he'll always be a focal point offensively.
As good as Kupp is, however, we saw last year how a lack of options around him had an adverse effect. After averaging 13.4 yards per catch in Stafford's first year with the club, that dipped to 10.8, which was the second-lowest of his career. His number of big plays (defined as receptions of 20 yards or more) also cratered -- 30 of his 145 catches in 2021 fit that designation, which was good for nearly 21 percent, while last year that fell to 11 of 75, or 14.7 percent.
Despite some worrisome trends, Kupp is such a high-volume target that he deserves to be in the discussion for which receiver should be selected first in drafts. When considering age and upside, Justin Jefferson looks like the overall WR1, but after that you can absolutely go with Kupp ahead of the likes of Davante Adams, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tyreek Hill.

Cooper Kupp day-to-day with ankle sprain Limited to 18 snaps in Week 11 By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 20, 7:00 pm

| | Rams’ WR Cooper Kupp will be considered day to day with the sprained ankle that he suffered Sunday, per sources. Given Kupp’s history with ankle injuries, the Rams will be careful with him as they determine whether he can play Sunday vs. the Cardinals. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: The bad news is that Kupp injured the same right ankle that sidelined him for a chunk of last season. The good news is this is reportedly a low-ankle sprain instead of the high-ankle one that ultimately ended his year in 2022. Fantasy managers should prepare for the Rams to use extreme caution and sit him out this week and react accordingly if the injury turns out to be minor. Given the way the last month has gone, his ceiling appears to be as a WR2 at best right now. Puka Nacua would likely see a nice boost to his fantasy stock if Kupp has to sit.

| Matthew Stafford expected back for Week 11 Took part in individual drills on Monday By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 13, 12:00 am

| | Sean McVay said he's expecting QB Matthew Stafford to play Sunday against the Seahawks. McVay said Stafford was able to throw the ball during individual drills during practice today. (ESPN.com - Sarah Barshop I know )
FFToday's Take: Since Stafford suffered a thumb injury in Week 8, the primary concern is his ability to grip the ball. So long as he is doing that - and it sounds as if that is the case - then the Rams are going to let him do his thing. Stafford's return is great news for Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua - both of whom were performing as top 20 fantasy receivers (points per game) through eight weeks. While Stafford figures to remain a middling QB2, Kupp and Nacua should return to WR1 status.

| Cooper Kupp back on the practice field Wednesday Will he play in Week 5? By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 4, 4:32 pm

| | Sean McVay says he "feels like Ron Burgundy" reading off the injury report today, which says Cooper Kupp is limited....because Kupp is going through a normal practice today. "He says he feels good, I trust him," adds McVay. Rams will ramp up his workload through the week. (Jourdan Rodrigue on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: A report earlier today suggested Kupp was pushing to play in Week 5 against the Eagles. If he does play, it's reasonable to assume he would be on a snap count. His return would have an effect on the rest of the Rams' receivers including Puka Nacua. We should know more about Kupp's status after practice on Friday.

| Rams place Cooper Kupp on IR, out four games Hamstring injury By: Mike Krueger | Sat Sep 9, 2:01 pm

| | Source: The #Rams are placing star WR Cooper Kupp on Injured Reserve to give him time for his hamstring to heal. Not a surprise, as coach Sean McVay acknowledged this was a possibility this week. He’s out four games. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Kupp aggravated his hamstring injury last week and has been traveling across the country looking for answers. Without Kupp, the Rams are lacking stable receiving talent at wideout with Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell and rookie Puka Nacua expected to be the top three options against the Seahawks in Week 1.

| Cooper Kupp out for Week 1 Hamstring injury is still cause for concern By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 6, 4:22 pm

| | Cooper Kupp will be out on Sunday, per Sean McVay. "Not much more information...just dealing with some soft tissue stuff." While McVay did not clarify the nature of the specialist Cooper Kupp saw in Minnesota, he said team is "opening every avenue" to understand whether hamstring feeling related to soft-tissue injury or even possible nerve issue. "There's just a lot of gray behind this." (Jourdan Rodrigue on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: We didn't expect Kupp to play Week 1 but this is starting to feel like an issue that may linger for some time. McVay didn't rule out Kupp going on Injured Reserve. The way it stands now, Van Jefferson, Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell are the top three widouts for Matthew Stafford. You can bet tight end Tyler Higbee will be heavily involved as well, with Kupp sidelined.
