Drew Petzing lands Detroit OC gig Takes over for fired OC John Morton By: Doug Orth | Mon Jan 19, 4:20 pm

| | The Detroit Lions are finalizing a deal to hire former Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing as their next offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. (ESPN.com - Eric Woodyard)
FFToday's Take: This is far from an inspiring hire for the Lions. Petzing was able to help James Conner enjoy the first two 1,000-yard seasons of his career, but the inability to get the most out of Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. falls on his shoulders to some degree. It also took him too long to make Trey McBride the centerpiece of the passing game. On the plus side, it is hard to ignore how much production he got out of Jacoby Brissett and Michael Wilson at the end of the year - even if most of it was in garbage time. Without question, Petzing will be set up for more success in Detroit with multiple explosive playmakers and a much better offensive line.

| Kyler Murray lands on IR due to foot injury Jacoby Brissett will start the next four games By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 5, 3:27 pm

| | Cardinals are placing QB Kyler Murray on injured reserve due to his foot injury, meaning he now will miss a minimum of four games.
Cardinals say this will give Murray the chance to focus on rehabbing his foot injury and that he is committed to getting back as soon as possible. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: It's Jacoby Brissett time for at least the next four weeks (@SEA, SF, JAX, @ TB). The earliest Murray can return would be Week 14 against the Rams. The Cardinals face the Texans in Week 15, so if you need the roster spot, you can feel safe in cutting Murray in most 12-team redraft leagues.

| Kyler Murray not ready to practice yet QB continues to make his return from foot injury By: Doug Orth | Sat Nov 1, 11:50 pm

| | The Cardinals will not open QB Kyler Murray's practice window this week, coach Jonathan Gannon said. Just not ready yet. (NFL Network - Tom Pelissero)
FFToday's Take: It seems pretty clear at this point that Murray probably will not see the field for Arizona this season and possibly never again. Jacoby Brissett effectively took over in Week 6 and hasn't looked back, throwing for two scores in six of seven games. While it is debatable if Brissett is actually playing the position better could be debated, the truth of the matter is the offense has been much more explosive with Brissett.

| Jacoby Brissett gets the start for Arizona Kyler Murray not ready to go By: Mike Krueger | Sat Nov 1, 1:17 pm

| | Kyler Murray is not yet healthy enough to start for the #AZCardinals, so Jacoby Brissett will be QB1 against the Cowboys on MNF. (Darren Urban on X)
FFToday's Take: Murray has been dealing with a foot issue and was limited in practice this week. Jonathan Gannon stated Murray could have a role in the game, which likely means that if Brissett got injured, Murray would come in as the QB2. Brissett gets a prime matchup against the woeful Dallas defense that's given up the most fantasy points to the quarterback position.
