2019 Outlook
Depth Chart
Ertz set an NFL tight end record with 116 receptions last season in route to finishing as the No.3 tight end behind Travis Kelce and George Kittle. In addition to making a sizable leap in receptions, targets, and receiving yards, Ertz followed up 2017 with a second-consecutive year of eight receiving touchdowns.

With four straight seasons of at least 100 targets, there is no doubt that Ertz will once again be the focal point of the Eagles offense. As many teams struggle to incorporate the tight end position into their offense, the Eagles, 49ers, and Chiefs each feature their respective tight ends prominently, making Kelce, Ertz, and Kittle worth an early draft pick in all formats.

You could argue that no other team in the NFL did more this free agent and NFL draft period to improve their offense that the Eagles. With additions to an already highly touted offensive line, and the signing of free agent DeSean Jackson and rookies JJ Arcega Whiteside and Miles Sanders, Philadelphia is going to be a very strong offense filled with fantasy value. Sitting atop that value pyramid is Zach Ertz, who has another strong chance to be an elite TE in 2019.

Dallas Goedert ready to become a star?
Drumbeat continues for second-year TE
By: Doug Orth | Thu Jun 13, 8:55 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
(Dallas Goedert) made waves during his rookie camp, but the tight end looks capable of making a second-year leap into stardom. He’s that good. (Philadelphia Inquirer)

FFToday's Take: Goedert has been the focus of several glowing offseason reports, but he is also stuck behind a 100-catch tight end named Zach Ertz. With that said, HC Doug Pederson has hinted at using more two-tight sets for a while and Goedert's emergence would be more than enough reason to make it happen. Goedert should be rostered in most leagues in 2019 and would become a must-start if Ertz is sidelined for any length of time.

Injury Travis Kelce expected to be ready for camp
Chiefs' TE will miss minicamp
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Jun 8, 9:30 am

Kansas City Chiefs
As he has throughout organized team activities, or OTAs, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce watched Thursday’s workout from the sideline. And that likely will be his vantage point when mandatory mini-camp begins next Tuesday. But coach Andy Reid said Thursday that should be the extent of Kelce’s absence. “I don’t think (he’ll participate) next week,” Reid said. “I think you’ll probably see him in training camp.” (Kansas City Star)

FFToday's Take: Kelce is roughly about five months removed from ankle surgery which put him in a boot for a few weeks afterward. Unless there's a setback Kelce should be ready to go for camp. He's in the conversation as the No.1 overall fantasy tight end along with George Kittle and Zach Ertz.
