2021 Outlook
Depth Chart
At 32 years old, Gronk isn't getting any younger, and he looked it at times in 2020 despite finishing 7th in our TE rankings with 6.5 fantasy points per game. That came mostly on the strength of his presence as a red zone threat (7 TD in regular season). The season was also significant in that Gronkowski played every game for the first time since 2011. Gronk is still Tom Brady's guy, and games like the Super Bowl (6 catches on 7 targets for 67 yards and 2 TD's) are always within the realm of possibility, especially as Brady takes more and more control of the offensive play-calling, making Gronkowski a legitimate borderline consideration as a TE1.

Injury Cyril Grayson nursing hamstring injury
Status in question for Wildcard game
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Jan 10, 12:17 pm

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
#Bucs HC Bruce Arians says that the hamstring injury to Cyril Grayson Jr. is not quite as bad as they thought, but his availability for this Sunday is in question. (Pewter Report on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Grayson has helped fill the void of Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin missing time due to injury, suspension and shenanigans but should be considered highly questionable for the Bucs Wildcard game against the Eagles. Expect Tom Brady to lean on Mike Evans, Breshad Perriman and Rob Gronkowski

Injury Mike Evans ruled Out for Week 16
Hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 24, 12:30 pm

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
#Bucs WR Mike Evans and S Antoine Winfield, Jr., are out for Sunday's game at Carolina. (Rick Stroud on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Bucs lost Evans, Chris Godwin (ACL), and Leonard Fournette (hamstring) to injury last week leaving their offense decimated. Breshad Perriman remains on the Covid list so it appears Antonio Brown, Rob Gronkowski and Tyler Johnson will likely be Brady's top three targets against the Panthers.

Injury Mike Evans dealing with hamstring strain
Reportedly has a chance to play in Week 16?
By: Doug Orth | Tue Dec 21, 1:30 am

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Bucs’ WR Mike Evans has a strained hamstring, is week-to-week and has a chance to play Sunday, per source. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)

FFToday's Take: It seems unlikely the Bucs will push Evans to play with a three-game division lead and three games to play. It seems even more unlikely they would do so with Chris Godwin (knee) out for the season. Expect Tampa Bay to lean heavily on Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski for at least Week 16 against the Panthers. It is quite possible the Bucs sit Evans in Week 17 versus the Jets as well.

Antonio Brown hit with three-game suspension
Cannot play until Week 16
By: Doug Orth | Thu Dec 2, 11:30 pm

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
National Football League announced today discipline of three players for violating jointly developed and administered NFL-NFLPA COVID-19 protocols. Tampa Bay's Antonio Brown and Mike Edwards have each been suspended without pay for the next three games. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)

FFToday's Take: This guy. Brown made the mistake of telling a secret to a former personal chef and it came back to bite him when the chef didn't receive payment for his services. The sad thing is that Brown is reportedly already vaccinated, so it is a bit unclear as to why he felt it necessary to potentially commit a federal crime if he was going to get the vaccine anyway. Brown was already expected to be out the next two games due to his ankle injury, but this suspension means Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Rob Gronkowski should have at least three more solid fantasy weeks.

Injury Gronk expected to play, barring any setbacks
Listed as Questionable
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 22, 12:26 pm

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Bucs’ TE Rob Gronkowski, listed as questionable for tonight due to his back, will play as long as there are no pre-game setbacks, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Gronk practiced on Thursday and Friday, then missed on Saturday but should be out on the field tonight against the Giants who are middle of the pack (17th) against fantasy tight ends.

Gronk gets a full practice in on Thursday
Has battled back and rib injuries since Week 3
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 18, 11:55 pm

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rob Gronkowski not only returned to practice but participated in a full capacity on Thursday. Gronkowski had been limited last week and did not play against Washington. He briefly played before the bye in New Orleans but hasn't played a full game since Week Three against the Rams. (Buccaneers.com)

FFToday's Take: Gronkowski was able to return to the field in Week 8 after recovering from his rib injury, but he left the game early with back spasms. He had not played or practiced since then until Thursday. His potential return for a Monday Night Football showdown against the Giants in Week 11 takes on added importance for the Bucs since they are expected to be without Antonio Brown again. He is a high-risk, high-upside TE1 at this point of his career.

Injury Chris Godwin a gametime decision
Foot injury
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 12, 12:29 pm

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Godwin practiced today, showed enough to keep things in play for Sunday. Arians said they’ll see how he feels Saturday and go from there. Arians says Antonio Brown, Rob Gronkowski and Rashard Robinson are ruled out for Sunday. (Greg Auman on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: There's a chance Scotty Miller could come off the IR and play this week but we'll likely see more of Tyler Johnson if Godwin sits. Johnson would move into flex consideration in that scenario.

Injury Rob Gronkowski a gametime decision
Optimism he will play
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 31, 7:00 am

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
#Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski (ribs) is considered a game-time decision after missing about a month, and he’ll likely work out pre-game to be sure. One source described optimism about his playing status, which would be a big lift for TB against the #Saints. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It sounds like Gronk is on the good side of Questionable but we'll have to wait until pre-game warmups to know for sure. With Antonio Brown out, and Mike Evans battling Marshon Lattimore, Gronk could be heavily involved in the passing game in Week 8
