Dolphins drop the hammer on HC Mike McDaniel
Team will be looking for a new GM and head coach

| The Dolphins fired Mike McDaniel, per sources. Stephen Ross and Mike McDaniel met this week to discuss the season. After that meeting and a few days of reflection, Ross made this decision and informed McDaniel this morning.
The team is currently working to hire a GM. Now, it’ll be a full organizational reset. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: There are also rumblings that the team could move on from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, although that would result in a huge hit of $99M in dead money. In any case, the offense is going to have a new philosophy depending on the next head coach and OC. Miami has missed the playoffs the last two seasons and McDaniel finishes his stint in Florida with a 35-33 record.
