ESPN Sources: 44-year-old Philip Rivers, who has not played in the NFL since the 2020 COVID season, is signing to the QB-needy Indianapolis Colts practice squad. (Adam Schefter on X) FFToday's Take: The Colts are reaching deep into the QB bag as not only did they lose Daniel Jones (Achilles) but backup Riley Leonard is dealing with a knee injury. Rivers will practice this week and see how his body feels afterwards. He's familiar with the Colts offensive scheme so it's not out of the question that he could play in Week 15 against the Seahawks.
