Joe Mixon dealing with frustrating foot injury

| #Texans RB Joe Mixon, who is on the non-football injury list, is expected to be out an extended period of time with a frustrating foot injury, sources say.
The Pro Bowler coming off a 1,000-yard season will be reevaluated closer to the season to determine his availability. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: Not great. Mixon has handled 285 and 309 touches in each of the last two seasons. Being injured before we even get to Week 1 is an ominous sign. He's ADP will be falling in short order. Nick Chubb Woody Marks, and Dameon Pierce are next up on the depth chart. Chubb comes with his own injury history but has been working as the No.1 back thus far in training camp.
