Patrick Mahomes will take a seat in Week 18
Blaine Gabbert gets the start

Andy Reid just confirmed the Chiefs would sit some starters in Sunday's game at LA Chargers, Patrick Mahomes included. Blaine Gabbert will make his first start at QB for Chiefs and first start for any team since 2018. (Adam Teicher on X)

FFToday's Take: In addition to Mahomes, it's unlikely that we'll see Isiah Pacheco, Rashee Rice or Travis Kelce very much if at all in this meaningless game for the Chiefs. Kelce does need 16 yards reach 1000 for the season. At running back, we could see a lot of La'Mical Perine and perhaps Deneric Prince will be called up from the practice squad.
