George Kittle unlikely to practice all week
TE still expected to play through knee sprain in Week 2
By: Doug Orth | Sep 17 2020, 11:55 pm

49ers TE George Kittle will get the whole week to rest, according to Kyle Shanahan, though he might be involved in Friday's practice. But Shanahan said there is no problem with him playing even if he doesn't practice. Shanahan optimistic that Kittle will be available on Sunday. (ESPN - Nick Wagoner)

FFToday's Take: Fantasy owners should remain skeptical for at least two reasons: 1) there's always a chance Shanahan protects him by cutting his snaps back and 2) he shouldn't be needed to beat the Jets. The natural pivot for fantasy owners would be Jordan Reed, but the position is deep enough this year that it would be advisable to go in another direction - such as Logan Thomas in shallow leagues or maybe even Dan Arnold in deep leagues.
