Deadline for players to opt-out of season 4 pm ET, Thursday
NFL and NFLPA have resolved all outstanding issues
By: Mike Krueger | Aug 3 2020, 9:10 pm

NFL players were just notified the deadline to opt out of the 2020 season is 4 p.m. Thursday - and the annual drug testing window opens Friday, per sources. The NFL and NFLPA have resolved all outstanding issues on the side letter to the CBA making changes for the 2020 season, per source. Still subject to final review by the union, but the deal the sides agreed to 10 days ago is now in writing. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: There's been a total of 39 players opt-out as of August 2nd but only a few notable names specific for fantasy purposes including Damien Williams, Devin Funchess and Marqise Lee. Fantasy owners will need to pay special attention to depth charts and their rankings this season and COVID-19 matters will create causing a great deal of ripple effects on NFL team rosters.
