Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray @ DET

Murray was harassed by Aaron Donald and the Rams defense Monday night, turning the ball over twice and taking a few game sealing sacks. Detroit has been surprisingly decent against the pass this year, but that’s more an indictment of their rush defense than anything. With little athleticism at linebacker, Murray should be able to get a ton of production on the ground and in the air.

Kirk Cousins @ CHI (Mon)

Unexciting, but surprisingly consistent as a fantasy quarterback, Cousins sports a Rodgers like 27-5 touchdown to interception ratio, has a bad defense that can’t hold leads, and even with the loss of Adam Thielen, has the weapons to threaten all levels of the field. Chicago was predictably embarrassed last week against the Packers, and won’t provide much resistance even at home.

Jimmy Garoppolo vs ATL

With Covid again ravaging the NFL I’m looking for intact offenses with good matchups and Garoppolo checks all the boxes. He’s been playing lights out for weeks now and right at 300 yards and two scores in both of his previous two games. With the offense clicking as well as it has since their Super Bowl season, he’s worth a long look if you need an option in the fantasy playoffs.

Cam Newton @ BUF

Good for a weekly benching or two at this point in season, Newton’s star has faded quickly since rejoining Carolina. Sloppy play and turnovers overshadow his ability to net you a rushing touchdown. On the road against a desperate Buffalo defense is not my idea of the secret playoff sauce.

Russell Wilson @ LAR

There seems to be sunshine poking through the Pacific Northwest gloom as the Seahawks have won two straight. The offense got rolling against a tanking Houston team, but LA will provide a much stiffer test if they can somehow curb their current Covid outbreak. I’m not a believer in the Rashaad Penny resurrection and DK Metcalf has disappeared, making me very hesitant to trust Russ this week.

Dak Prescott @ NYG

This is a tough one to reconcile, but Dak hasn’t played well since lighting up the Raiders on Turkey Day. The Giants are walking dead, but December division games, especially on the road, can be rough. Dak has the ability to carry your team in the playoffs, but he’s just as likely to send you packing into the offseason. If you have a deep bench, consider some other options.
