Jacoby Jones signs with Ravens-- Wed May 9 9:30 pm -- Former Texans WR had 512 receiving yards in 2011
Former Houston Texans wide receiver Jacoby Jones has agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens on a two-year contract. Jones was cut by the Texans last week. He caught 31 passes for 512 yards and two touchdowns last season, but he also fumbled twice in Houston's playoff loss to the Ravens. The 27-year-old Jones gives depth to Baltimore's group of receivers.

FF Today's Take:Jones' signing is of little fantasy relevance. Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith are firmly entrenched as the Ravens' top two wide outs, and running back Ray Rice and tight end Ed Dickson tend to eat up the rest of quarterback Joe Flacco's completions. Like Lee Evans last season, Jones shouldn't figure into the offense much if Baltimore's top receivers are healthy.
Ravens yet to ink new deals with stars-- Sat Apr 7 8:40 pm -- Flacco, Rice looking for long-term deals
Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice is not the only player on the team who seems to be in a holding pattern in negotiations on a long-term deal. Representatives for quarterback Joe Flacco traded contract proposals with the Ravens and plan to get back to the negotiating table next week, multiple league sources told NFL Network's Albert Breer. Rice has been more vocal than Flacco about his displeasure with his contract outlook. The 25-year-old running back told Breer that he believes he outplayed his last contract and deserves a long-term deal.(NFL.com)
FF Today's Take:While Flacco remains a mid-tier fantasy quarterback, Rice is a stud. The diminutive speedster can cut and juke with the best of them and is equally as dangerous rushing the ball as he is receiving it out of the backfield.
Flacco believes he's NFL's "best" QB-- Wed Apr 4 7:00 pm -- "I don't think I'm top five, I think I'm the best"
Aaron Rodgers. Tom Brady. Eli and Peyton Manning. Drew Brees. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and his agent believe he's right there with the elite class of NFL quarterbacks. "I assume everybody thinks they're a top-five quarterback," Flacco said when asked where he thinks he ranks among NFL quarterbacks. "I mean, I think I'm the best. I don't think I'm top five, I think I'm the best. I don't think I'd be very successful at my job if I didn't feel that way. I mean, c'mon? That's not really too tough of a question."(ESPN)
FF Today's Take:It's good to have confidence but temper your expectations for Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens passing game in 2012. Flacco is definitely a serviceable fantasy quarterback but he doesn't have the accolades, Super Bowl Rings or elite statistics that Rodgers, Brady, Brees and both of the Mannings have.
