Bucs likely without Doug Martin in Week 3
Team also expects to be minus Gerald McCoy
By: Doug Orth | Sep 18 2014, 4:10 pm

The Buccaneers listed DT Gerald McCoy and RB Doug Martin as questionable for Thursday night’s game against the Falcons, but it doesn’t look like either one of them will be on the field. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that McCoy and Martin are both unlikely to be active for the NFC South matchup. (Pro Football Talk)

FFToday's Take: Martin is expected to test his knee before the call is officially made to deactivate him, so there is still a glimmer of hope for his owners that he'll be able to play in what should be a juicy matchup. If he cannot go, then Bobby Rainey is a high-end RB2 play. McCoy's absence should allow Matt Ryan & Co. to feel a bit more comfortable in the pocket, meaning the Falcons have a shot to put up some stellar offensive numbers.
