Coughlin wants Giants offense to move quicker Mixed results after two preseason games By: Mike Krueger | Aug 9 2014, 10:30 pm
It has hardly been a secret at Giants training camp practices that they intend to run a faster offense this season. Ben McAdoo's new West Coast-style offense is supposed to run with speed and rhythm. "I think, quite frankly, [the offense] does need to have rhythm. It does have to have more speed to it," Coughlin said. "But we've got more time to work on that." (NJ.com)
FFToday's Take:Through two preseason games the Giants offense has been at best inconsistent. Eli Manning has yet to throw the ball further than 10 yards. Running back Rashad Jennings didn't scamper 73 yards for a touchdown Saturday night but a better showing next week against the Colts would be a welcome sight. It's very possible the Giants key offensive weapons will struggle early in the season until the new McAdoo offense sinks in.
