Maclin feeling faster than he did pre-injury
Recovering from July 2013 ACL injury
By: Doug Orth | Jul 14 2014, 4:05 pm

Jeremy Maclin thinks that in some ways, he's in better physical condition than he was before he tore his ACL. "In some ways, I feel faster," Maclin said. "In some ways I feel more fresh, more physically strong. I just think you put so much hard work into your rehab process that that's kind of what happens. You get that leg back. You build that leg back stronger. So like I said, I'm really looking forward to this year." (Philly.com)

FFToday's Take: Maclin is taking over the "Z" receiver spot formerly occupied by DeSean Jackson. Perhaps it is too much to expect him to produce at the same rate as Jackson did last year, but Maclin was a more complete player prior to his injury. Then again, with more weapons surrounding him this year, he shouldn't be needed as much as Jackson was. Maclin obviously comes with a fair amount of risk, but he is a high-end WR3 at worst in all leagues this fall.
