| Jennings to continue lead-back duties -- Mon Nov 18 2:50 pm --|
McFadden wil have to "wait his turn" when healthy
|With a career-high 150 yards on 22 carries, including the 80-yard touchdown run that stood up as the Raiders' final points, Rashad Jennings has 340 yards on 57 carries, averaging 6.0 yards per carry in his last three games. He is second to Terrelle Pryor in rushing with 480 yards.
Darren McFadden, who had a hamstring injury early in the Philadelphia game which made Jennings the lead back, has 352 yards in seven games. When McFadden does return, it's become clear he'll have to wait his turn. (Contra Costa Times)|
FF Today's Take: It's a ridiculous notion that McFadden is now the second-best running back on his own team after entering the season as his offense's centerpiece. Coaches nowadays tend to ride the "hot hand" and, at the moment, that is Jennings. However, it doesn't mean much right now anyway since McFadden appears unlikely to return anytime soon. Jennings will have a shot to tighten his grip on the starting job over the next two weeks against the weak run defenses of the Titans and Cowboys.
