49ers, Garoppolo agree on blockbuster deal

| The 49ers and QB Jimmy Garoppolo have agreed to a five-year, $137.5 million contract, source says. The biggest deal in NFL history on a average-per-year basis. (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: We're still waiting for the contract details and the guaranteed money but it sounds like Garoppolo will be the highest paid NFL player on a per year basis. It will be quite a chunk of change for player with so little starting experience. He started five games with San Francisco last year, completing 67 percent of his passes, averaging 308.4 yards and 1.2 touchdowns.
