Injury Blake Bortles undergoes wrist surgery
Dealt with injury since December of 2016

Jacksonville Jaguars
Blake Bortles underwent right wrist surgery Friday for a condition that kept him on the injury report all season, sources told ESPN. Bortles dealt with the issue since December 2016. The Jaguars elected to avoid surgery last offseason, but knew it was needed now. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: As a first-round pick entering his fifth season, the surgery leaves Bortles in even more limbo, as his fifth-year club option is only guaranteed for injury. Bortles' place on the roster was already tenuous given the likelihood of quarterbacks such as Kirk Cousins and Alex Smith expected to be available at the start of the new league year. At the moment, it's looking like Bortles may not be on the Jacksonville roster when the middle of March rolls around.
