WR Shepard, RB Perkins miss practice Wed
S Landon Collins and DE Olivier Vernon also sit out
By: Jake Gordon | Oct 11 2017, 1:00 pm

Sterling Shepard wasn't spotted at Wednesday's practice, which wasn't a surprise after he was spotted with his left foot in a walking boot on Tuesday. Shepard sprained his left ankle for the second time in two months on Sunday. Perkins missed Sunday's game after injuring his ribs in Week 4. He took part in stretching at the start of Wednesday's practice and then watched from the sideline when drills started. Landon Collins wasn't spotted at Wednesday's practice after he sprained his ankle in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Chargers. As he did last week, Olivier Vernon (ankle) worked on the side with a trainer during Wednesday's practice. (NJ.com)

FFToday's Take: In the aftermath of losing several players for the season, the Giants continue to deal with injuries to key playmakers on both sides of the ball. Shepard is still considered day-to-day so check back later in the week for an update. After solid outings from Wayne Gallman and Orleans Darkwa, the Giants may prefer to keep Perkins out for another week. New York's RBBC already has plenty of mouths to feed so it will be tough for fantasy managers to predict who will have the best fantasy outing moving forward.
