Dallas Cowboys

Tony Romo (back) timetable still uncertain
Cowboys unsure if QB will return
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Aug 30 2016, 11:16 am

According to Todd Archer of ESPN, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys are uncertain how much time Tony Romo will miss with the compression fracture in his back. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas "I don't know and don't know that anybody does. But it's quite a range there, four to six, six to eight, eight to (10)." Of course, HC Jason Garrett has yet to even rule Romo out of the season opener against the New York Giants, but that's probably just wishful thinking. Romo isn't worth selecting as anything but a high-upside, third QB flier as the last pick in redrafts. For now, Dak Prescott appears to be the guy generating the most excitement, even if it's pure speculation based on a few promising series in preseason.
